Just seen where Dan-Pa. a long time member on here has passed away!! Read it on another forum.

Sorry to hear that, I did a couple deals with him in the past. Was a great guy and super knowledgeable.

    VX3

yeah, and the vx3 is just as capable you wont be lacking any depth :) as long as you learn what the machine is telling you. You will do well. I really enjoy my v3i its a great machine and I had put it up for trade but decided that I am not going to sell it anymore.

    VX3

I have a mxt that I use the 6x10 on great coil but pinpointing is very bad with it. Its always multiple inches off on the depth. I'm waiting for that machine to come back from repairs as a cat knocked it over and broke the machine.

    VX3

You do realize vx3 and v3i are the same machine just vx3 has less features but anyone who can use vx3 can use a v3i. Just saying.

Stock straight outta box v3i coin depths

V3i is just simply way more powerful, if you spend time with it you will do well, even if you don't tweak much its still a awesome machine.

    Surprised

6 inches is not that suprising the v3i can hit deep. Might not be as accurate or accurate with the display but it will hit targets at 12 inches.

Took the V3i out for a spin today

Can you give me a idea of how mineralized your ground is? Might help with why your getting bad depth.

Took the V3i out for a spin today

That's really odd, but v3i Is a great machine, what kind of settings were you running ?

    Going from DFX to V3i

You bought s great machine, honestly the V3i is quite w bit more advanced than the Dfx/XLT and does require more practice. The best way to learn the machine is to tinker with it with your ground and find the best settings. Once you learn it it's hands down the best detector on the market today

    Whites V3i showed up today

Nice, my v3i is under my bed cause I have a neck injury  and sadly I can't detect it's driving me crazy lol.

Help With Coil Selection For V3i

6x10 is great I have 2 one on a mxt and one on my v3i. It's a great coil but you will get extremely bouncy vdi numbers with it for some reason. Another tip when you pinpoint add 2 inches to the depth and if it says 3 inches it means 1.

Can v3i be set deeper than preset coin & jewelry program?

It's complex but that's why it's the best machine nothing touches it in the hands of the right person.

    V3i VS. VX3

Yep do a few tweaks for your ground conditions and you will get massively better depth with factory programs except if you have mild soil I do and get 9 inches average depth with stock program. Tweaked like 13 which is great, my arms get tired digging lol.
