Update of the class ring I found a couple weeks ago....

I was able to find the owner and returned the ring to her today..
My first class ring find and return!
She lost it 23 years ago and almost could not believe I had found it.
She actually said that she paid for the ring herself too which impressed me.
Another successful return and another positive gesture for the hobby.
Thanks for looking!

Good on you sir. Probably made that ladies year. May your next ring be an 18k unmarked honker. Good luck. Mark

Felix That was very nice to hear and when you return it to her you got a great feeling to see her so happy to see it again. I always try to find the owner if at all possible .
Its a special feeling to see the happy feeling the person that lost the item they lost

GOOD GOING.
Rick

Awesome detective work in tracking down the owner! You made one young lady a very happy person! To me this is priceless.
May you receive a return of hundredfold.

Most people get into this hobby to with the hope of finding items and coins of real value. Real value is what you just did with this ring return. I have had the luck of returning 6 class rings and I remember every single one. Great job!

Wow!
Thanks for all the kind words folks.
I’m sure many others on this forum would do the same as I did, and from what I have read above, many have.
I first reached out to the school for help, but after a week of not hearing from them, I decided to do some searching myself.
Having the entire name of the owner in the ring helped a great deal and I finally got in touch with her daughter who gave my contact information to her Mom.
From earlier experiences in returning lost items, I have learned that others do not seem to dedicate much time and effort in helping me find the owner, so I do not simply leave an item with anyone now.
