Need advice on a DD coil for MXT

Looking into purchasing an aftermarket coil, equivalent to White's DD eclipse for an MXT specifically. I really don't know whats out there from other manuf.

Looking for a HOT (sensitivity/depth) coil. Better target separation is a plus too. Or would you recommend I stay with whites coil? Any experience and feedback would help.

Thanks, TC-NM

All 4 of my MXT DD coils are Detects. All are excellent.

What kinda depth, target separation and sens. are you getting? Can you be specific? What 4 sizes do you have?

Thanks

7 “, 9”&13” Ultimate and 5x10&10x12 SEF. They all perform above their class in both separation & depth.

I have to agree with coinspader. The stock D2 is a great coil for most hunting and in high trash areas the SEF 6X8 was always my go to.

Hello TC. The Detech coils I own, 7" & 9" Ultimate DD and the 18x4 Arrow, are the best coils I ever used on my three White's detectors (and still use). Hands down, White's wasn't the biggest coil builder; that's why White's decided to let build Detech some of their DD coils the last years.
The Ultimate coils do have excellent target separation and go DEEP.
On my MXT the 9" coil reads a nickel in a distance of 1foot+.

I always did well with the Whites 10 inch D2 coil that comes on the MXT All pro, I also like the SEF 6x8 DD for the MXT's
Hi coinspader,

I have the 10" D2 and the SEF 6 x 8 DD that I'm using on my V3i. The D2 is "V" rated. Will that pose problems with an MXT?

Nope thats not a problem, it will work very good, the V rated coils are for the Spectre machines but they work good on other Whites detectors such as the MXT and DFX

V rated means the coil has been nulled for all three frequencies of the V series. They work just as good on the single frequency MXT and dual frequency DFX.

How about the Detech 8 x 15 DD? Will it be better or equivalent to the Whites Eclipse coil??

Thanks, TC-NM

I had the Detech 10x12 on a DFX, Mx5, V3, and V3i. It was deep, accurate, and light. If I owned any Whites machines, this would be my first choice.

Thanks to all for the advice. Thanks to Finds mall too.
