Assining a tone to a specific target

I thought I saw somewhere you could assign a tone for a specific target. I would like nickles to read a high tone like dimes/quarters. I searched the manual but can find nothing about that. Was I imagining something not possible? jimmyk in Missouri

    First Hunt...First Dig... SILVER!!!

Went on my first hunt, today. I used to use an Etrac and felt it was the best coin machine I had ever used. Always found coins I had missed with other detectors. After seeing what the CTX3030 had going for it, I had to take the plunge. I wanted to use it in all those junky areas I had hunted...

    "Deep" Setting Question

My question as a newbie is why wouldn't you want the "Deep" setting "On" all the time? When wouldn't you want to enhance the signal on a deep coin? What's the downside of having it on all the time? Thanks, jimmyk in Missouri

    CTX vs Etrac

Does the CTX operate the same as the Etrac? Or, do you have to learn a whole new machine? I've heard it isn't any deeper than an Etrac, but works much more efficiently. I'm familiar with the Etrac and wondering about the learning curve going to a CTX. Thanks for your input, jimmyk in Missouri

No Old Park Is Hunted Out

I don't believe any old park is hunted out. Sure, the finds may be thin, or almost non existant. Today I stopped at a city park on an out of the way highway that I had passed a couple of times before, but hadn't hunted. It's really the town spuare with old buiness buildings on three sides, and...
