    Thinking about an F75

I know of a few folks around where I live that use the F75, and they find alot of good relics. I like the features of this model, and with health issues, light-weight is a major plus. But I cannot seem to find the weight of the F75 anywhere on Fisher's website. Perhaps one of y'all know. I am...

    For sale listing is GONE

I recently had a Minelab X-Terra 705 in the classifieds, and it's gone. I am familiar with the rules for posting, and there was NOTHING in violation about this listing(that I'm aware of). I would like for someone to tell me what the problem was.

    My "new" White's 6000 SL Pro(and 6000 Di Pro)

An elderly couple that has been almost like "second parents" used to metal detect. They were kinda responsible for getting me into the hobby 30+ years ago. They are now in extremely poor health, and the man will probably never leave his bed again(living). It has been sad to see this happen, but...

Got the "creaks" out of my Tesoros last night

As some of you had suggested way back when, I took some teflon tape and taped inside upper and lower joints on my Eldorado and Silver uMax. They are TIGHT now!!! Thanks for those suggestions. My old Silver Sabre II was made back when they didn't have the creaks, so it didn't need anything....:beers:

Gray Ghost Ultimate headphones on the way...

Tried a pair about a week ago that belonged to a digging buddy. Awesome!! I'm almost deaf, and the lack of external interference noise was incredible on these. Now I'll be able to hear those faint signals on the IDX(I hope)...:beers:

    Question about classifieds here

I have advertised for items here in the classifieds forum, and always seem to get responses, but many of the responders don't have many posts, which makes me leary. I know that this is probably not the correct place to post this, but y'all seem to be a great bunch here. I have bought several...

Wanted to buy a set of Gray Ghost or Killer B headphones

In good, undamaged condition. I always seem to miss-out on the ones advertised here, so I'm posting for some. Thanks!!

First decent find with the IDX

Took that machine out yesterday to a place that I've hunted to death over the years. Here's a breast plate that I found, but it's kinda mangled-up. It's been years since I dug one, so this one made my day. The IDX works great, and ID's iron great. That machine is so light-weight that old...

    Got the Classic IDX!

Couldn't stand not going back to the shop and getting the machine I mentioned in another post. 100.00 deal!! Had more time to look at it without the "boss" being with me today. It is the IDX model. Airt-tested great! I used to hunt only with White's machines through the 80's on into the 90's...

    White's Classic ID

Passed one up in a pawn shop yesterday that I could have gotten for 100.00. It worked, but was not "like new" by any means. In good condition, though. Can't seem to find much info on this model. I was wondering how comparable it would be to an M6?

    Shaft lock assembly

I've always had "average" mechanical intelligence, but I recently got a new shaft-lock assembly in the mail for my Silver uMax. No instructions, or anything included. It's the 3-piece jigsaw puzzle from hell....

    Silver Sabre II

Was in a pawn shop yesterday and got a great deal on this machine. I already have a Silver umax, Eldorado, and Tiger Shark, but for 60.00, I couldn't pass this one up. My question is...With the other Tesoros I have, would it be practical to hunt with this one, or is this one kinduva "model T"...

    Shaft creak

I have enjoyed all of my Tesoros, but only ONE has never had shaft creak, and I suspect that's due to the sand that's gotten in the shaft joints. That's the Tiger Shark. But the uMaxe's I have and have had, have developed an annoying "creaking" sound when swinging. This sometimes is right out of...

Help! My "new" Excal drank some water!:stretcher:

I bought a used Excal today and it has been sitting in storage for a while prior to me getting it. Long story short....We have an above-ground swimming pool, and after trying this machine out in the yard, I was happy with it's performance. I threw a few targets into the pool and got in there...

    Older Excal (blue& gray color)

I know someone who has an older Excal that is blue/gray in color. I've never seen one in this color( that I can remember). I have one that's old, but mine is blue with the yellow-capped knobs. I can get it for 500.00, and it's supposed to be in great shape. Good deal? I wouldn't want to get an...

    Cheap Kellyco scoop mod.

I have been using a home-made hickory handled steel scoop for 30 years, and it's been good for "heavy" water hunting, but about 4 years ago, I decided to get a "back-up" scoop from K-co. I think I paid around 70.00 for it, and didn't realize how flimsy it was until I got it. It was just a...

Taking the Excal from fresh to salt water.

I'm going to do some salt water hunting in a day or two, and was wondering if I'm gonna have to change my settings much. I always use it in fresh with max sensitivity, disc mode, with almost no disc. My battery connector plug seems to get a little water around the 2 prongs, but it's not getting...

No gold this morning, but .925

Gold has gotten scarce lately, but did find a few targets to dig. The 925 chain is pretty long, and dug a few coins, a cheap bracelet, and a small junk earring. I had fun, but wanted to eyeball some gold.

    Back-up water machine

Just a note to those who need a water machine to "fill the void" until the bugs get worked out with the Sharks. The DetectorPro HH Pirate is an amazing machine, and they're not expensive. I have one and it will "hang" with the other ones. No kidding, either. Just a thought!
