Found several CW bullets including some complete pin fires with my new CTX 3030

All were found at 10" or deeper with the big 13x17 coil in less than two hours. Will be returning as soon as the cattle get the tall grass eaten down.... PS Found the two Indians at an old country church on the way home....

CTX & 13 x 17 is a killer on deep CW bullets

Got out for a couple of hours to my favorite CW relic site . It was 98 and no shade or breeze so 2 hours was enough. The grass is about 6" high in the pasture so I had to work the big coil hard and try to scrub the grass down a bit for the deep bullets I knew were still there. Was running two...

Got another 10k gold ring in neck deep water at the lake yesterday.

Cute little thing (both wife & ring) and when the wife found it fit her it was lost once again :surrender: It hit at a very mellow 12-03 and when I heard it I had a feeling it was gold and even mentioned to Dr.Bob how good it sounded before recovering it. Earlier in the day I was able to hit a...

Predicting 98 degrees here in SW MO tomorrow so will be hitting the lake beaches thanks to my trusty water proof CTX

With any luck I will find a bit of gold and or silver and will remain cool while doing so and hope Dr.Bob who is coming along can do the same. I have always been a one detector kind of guy.I like to get a machine that works well for me and practice, practice, practice till I get it mastered and...

A curious thread about depth of CTX compared to previous Minelabs

One guy wrote an elaborate post and others responded to it in a curious way at least to me. I was wondering what those of you who had an Explorer found when you changed machines. Here's a link to what they said. http://www.findmall.com/read.php?19,1767559,1767598#msg-1767598 One noted...

Got my first Gold and Silver from the water this weekend......

About 10 hours total hunt time in waist to neck deep water at my local fresh water lake beaches. The 10k white gold ring tested positive on the ice and the triple band is marked 925 but is very black from being in the water a long time.I worked for 10 minuets with silver cleaner just to get a...

The 13 x 17 is a monster in my test garden :yikes:

Picture of jumper wire fix for Pro Golds...

I just used a 2" piece of insulated copper wire and twisted bared ends around the solder lugs where the black and red wires are attached from the main cord using needle nose pliers . The jumper wire in picture is white but color not important. I used single strand copper wire as it is easier to...
