    New saltwater Detector

I've owned a few excaliburs 12 years now, still love them. Now a Fisher AQ Limited.. owner, Love it as much as the excalibur but Its for limited spots since it's a PI....also once they get the small 8 inch coil for it out I think It will be move versatile...... I had a sea hunter several years...

    good water/dive boot

Got three sets of those... Love them, specially that Big Zipper........One set is about 7 years old, the other 4 and 3..........like calabash.. one set is two sizes bigger for the spring and fall drysuit. I hunt a lot so they have hundreds of hours on them...they do form a crack across the front...

Another detector dies and another has an issue, but got a little gold

Good to see you came home with treasure... Shame the Cz20 went down, I know you have had it for several years. Most of the bay hunters in the area that used CZ20/21's have switched to the Nox, that's just about all you see out there now.

TARSACCI MDT 8000 & EQUINOX 800 Salt Depth Comparison

George I believe it's around 1500.oo. But If you hunt in the water I am not sure if it was meant to be a underwater machine. Maybe someone can chime in on that..

    Excal Questions

Sorry I missed your Message, still not use to the new format here. If your hunting out of the water (dry and wet sand) you may want to think about a larger coil for more coverage and a little extra depth. That being said, I swear by the stock coils..1000 and 800. I do hunt in the water mostly...

How gold settles in the water

I hunt the Chesapeake Bay, seems every beach here has different habits, due to the fact each is affect differently. Even different area's of the same beach can act different. Big or small gold rings can be just about any depth. Some I believe lie just where they were dropped and maybe sunk...

    The Ole Hit and Vigerous

Congrads to the New Guy! Fresh drops...Just getting your coil over it. One reason I'm not real good at the fresh drop beach's. I see the guys here that are out there every weekend and they have there patterns..and they do seem to do better then most, I just walk out and hunt...I may find one...

    Deep Thoughts..

Much easier like this.......the pin point switch ...Mel Parkers Idea for the Excalibur over ten years ago, BB Sailors Idea for the Sovereign 14 years ago...... Notice the handle and the yellow push button... I've tried many ways to protect the Piezo's, I can not share what I use........Mineral...

Last two days...2 gold rings, #114, #115 for the year

Out Tuesday and Wednesday deep in the water looking for Gold, It's been nasty and cold both days. 25 degrees this AM when I hit the beach. High NW winds really lowered the water so when that happens..I am there no matter the weather. The two hunts together total about 6 hours, both from the same...

Gold Ring #101 with a few old silvers

Out Saturday for 3 1/2 hours working a small area that has now given me about 10 gold rings in the last month. Water was a little calmer then Fridays failed hunt and tide was dropping good so it made things a little easier to get where I needed and to hear the faint signals of the Excalibur in PP.
