    WTB Jool Tool

Anybody have one they're tired of? Maybe do some trading for detector stuff. I have a Delta Pulse deep detector for relics, with 3 coils I might trade. Jim

    Glow orange under uv light

Probably calcite, though it can have many different colors depending on the chemicals within. Orange is a very common color in fluorescents. I was just down around Winnemucca, Nevada, and the ground was covered with orange fluorescents. Nice finds in any case. Jim

    Wilfley Gold Shaker Table

Newly re-conditioned original Wilfley brand gold recovery table. Runs smooth and quiet. Has all the on-the-fly adjustments these tables are famous for, including speed, stroke length, and table tilt. Re-conditioning included a new deck, with frame, and rebuild of 2 bearings in drive unit, as...

    WTB: Jimmy Coil

The made two 7 1/2's, but the one for Australia is a mono coil, not a DF. It's not as sensitive to really small gold, but also not as reactive to ground minerals, which Australia has in abundance. I haven't tested the mono version, but would like to, if I could find one cheap....LOL. The Sadie...

    WTB: Jimmy Coil

AAh man, I have one of those, too. Great coils on the TDI, but the DF 7.5 is just as good IMHO. I have no idea if they called it a "Piglet". All it says on it is Razorback, with the image of a wild boar. If you find a Sadie, you'll have to make some shims for it to fit the Whites rods. Jim

    Just isn't right

Pretty piece, Dancer. Hard to imagine somebody going to all the trouble to make it, and using valueless material. Jim

    City of Rocks National Preserve

There's another set of rocks nearby that's an Idaho State Park. It's called "Castle Rocks State Park". It's 2 or 3 miles north of the Silent City of Rocks. Jim

    City of Rocks National Preserve

Closest city of any real size is Burley, Idaho. There's a really small town near the east entrance....Almo, Idaho. Oakley is not far to the northwest, though I don;t think there's a motel. Malta, Idaho is to the northeast, and I think they have a motel. Jim.

    More from City of Rocks

Back in the 1970's, a metal detectorist found buried saddlebags, at the base of Treasure Rock. They contained 12,000 in gold coins, as I understand the story. The stage robbery loot from a robbery near McCammon, Idaho. Jim

    City of Rocks National Preserve

It's a great spot. I've been walking it and hunting it for decades. I spent a lot of time there, even before it was known for rock climbing, and even before it was a National Reserve. Back in the 70's few people even went there. Used to be quite a few lions there, and many coyotes and bobcats. Jim

    Reg Sniff detectors for sale

What Tex said. Your dad was a great guy, and helped everybody. His passing was a great loss to our sport. Jim

May not look like much, but means a lot!

I found one nearly identical to that last spring. It was at an old, unknown military camp site along the Goodale's Cutoff of the Oregon trail. Mine was in much better shape, probably because of the arid climate. I eventually got it cleaned up, and even made a key for it, so it's now a working...

    White's Service

Whites re-opened the Oregon repair center. Holly told me they would stay open for 3 or 4 weeks. They sent me a new coil, under warranty, for the falsing 6 x 10 that came with my GM24K. At my request, they also returned the bad coil, so I could try and repair it to use as a backup. Same old solid...
