    My Friend almost Died Detecting..!!

Always let someone know where you'll be and what time to call the Marines when you don't show up when you're supposed to.

    New X-Terra Pro Features

The price will be $269 in the US. The owners manual is available to download on the Minelab website.

    New xterra Ultra

There's no Ultra. You must mean the XTerra Pro.

    XTerra Pro price

B Being a better value will depend on it’s features and performance. I think Minelab has the leak issue fixed. I don’t need a submersible, rain proof is good enough for me.😎

    XTerra Pro price

Calabash Digger says it’s going to be $269. If true it’s going to make Nokta’s New Generation Simplex line up irrelevant.

    Things are getting interesting

I remember when what's her name said that update 1.08 was the last one for the Legend & now they're up to 1.11.

    Simplex New Generation series

Yep, you got caught short just like some new Equinox 600 and 800 owner's did. To add insult to injury you can now buy a Simplex package that includes a pinpointer & pouch, finds bag, digger& sheath, headphones and a freakin' hat for $339.

    Simplex New Generation series

Recently announced. Three different machines, the Simplex Lite, the Simplex BT, AND THE Simplex Ultra. The Lite is a very basic machine with out any bluetooth capability. The Simplex BT ( stands for blue tooth) will be the direct replacement for the current Simplex+. The Ultra has some...

Discounted Simplex+ WHP $339 PulseDive Pointer, Premium Digger, PP Leg Holster, Finds Pouch, and Nokta Cap.

I guess Nokta wants to push these out because of the new models coming soon.

    Things are getting interesting

Yep, things are getting spicey in the detector market. The one thing holding me back from Nocta is the never ending updates.

900 Park 2 is really deep, but useless for me

According to Minelab's website the EQX06 six inch double D Smartcoil is compatible with all Equinox detectors. The 6" coil that comes with the 900 is the same 6" coil that comes with the 800 package. It's the only 6" coil that they sell for the Equinox series. If you have one that doesn't work...

    New to me 705 questions

Aluminum foil, canslaw, bent nails, and balled up wire will give you fits. I bought the Minelab 6" 18.75 khz coil a long time ago and it's been on ever since. As others have said, all metal and 99 (really 28 tones) tones is the way to go.

    New release from Minelab

It's named XTerra Pro but other than recycling the name it has little in common with the XTerras that were designed over 15 years ago. The original XTerras changed frequency by changing the coils, the Pro changes the frequency by pressing a button. In reality it's been designed to be a head to...

    Manticore Protective Covers

I got my 900 cover today. It's well made and looks good.

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

Technology marches on. You changed the frequency of the old XTerras by changing the coil. On the Pro you press a button. I think it's more about recycling a name than anything else.

Anyone Still Using The 70 or 705?

I still have my 705 but just bought a Nox 900. I've been swinging the nox a lot trying climb up that learning curve but the 705 always comes along for the ride as a back up.

    X-Terra 705 and cut Dirhem

When I first got my 705 I swung it over every inch of my yard & found a few clad coins. Then one day, just out of curiosity, I maxed out the sensitivity setting and went over a patch of my yard that I "knew" was clear of metal. After a lot of digging and pinpointing I was recovering birdshot...

    Is the nox 800 dead?

The 600/800 are dead in that they are being phased out but they are still very capable detectors.

    Equinox 900 and silver!

Nice! What settings are you using?

    Another new Minelab detector.

There’s a thread on this in the XTerra forum where it belongs.
