Xy screen when targets too deep?

I much prefer the horseshoe screen. If a person used it all the time, they might notice tendencies that would help, much like tendencies in jumping VIDs, I don't know. I agree with the Colonel's opinion, and think the horseshoe screen has much more information that I can use.

    Legend frequencies

I have a one gallon ice cream container almost full of sand from our old dump. Ground balance is about 4 on the Legend and 87 or so on my other detectors. It is very mineralized with ferrite. I can max out the mineralization meter on my Deus pumping it over this sand. I placed the container...

    My take on the Deus1.

I've done that with many different brands of detector. I will say it is a pretty good idea to check any detector before going out. That's another reason I prefer AA and 9V batteries, I always have spares nearby. I will also say that I have ran out of juice more times with other detectors than...

    Civil war ammunition

I believe that hitting the earth is hitting something. Canister ammunition was used for close range as described above but the round balls in them were iron and much larger than the ones pictured. There was also case shot that sometimes used lead ball that were .69 caliber but it was packed...

Xy screen when targets too deep?

On a deep quarter in my mineralized with iron sand, the line goes mostly horizontal, which, according to the owner's manual is a typical signal from ferrite and ceramics. The line is quite thick, and has "squiggles" of various shaped lines reaching a small distance into all 4 quadrants. The...

Could somone do me a test with your tesoro please

All I can say is these are the values I got on my Fluke meter, yes I have continuity between rx and tx, but, yes my coil works with no problem. Maybe when he made the video, there were no electronics in the coils. https://www.detectorprospector.com/topic/10222-whats-in-your-coil/ Here's a...

Could somone do me a test with your tesoro please

I got out my meter. Here is the results on 8 inch concentric coil: pin 2 to all others-open loop pin 1 to pin 3=23 ohms pin 1 to pin 4=44 ohms pin 1 to pin 5=23 ohms pin 3 to pin 4=23 ohms pin 3 to pin 5=0 ohms pin 4 to pin 5=23 ohms A wiring diagram for the Bandido 2 shows what I think is a...

    Civil war ammunition

I own a 50 cal black powder and the ramrod leaves a mark on a round ball just like it does a mini ball. You can leave major marks on a round ball with your teeth. ?? Then how did they acquire such an empire, bow and arrow? Their personal disarmament agenda is a much later occurrence.

Review of coiltek 10x5 with Equinox 900

I think a coil size about 10x5 is useful on about any detector.

    Civil war ammunition

Lead for muzzleloaders is very soft and easily deformed. When it is rammed down on the powder, the ramrod usually leaves an indentation. Even if it doesn't, about the only thing that would stop a soft bullet without damage is a snow bank.

Could somone do me a test with your tesoro please

That is pretty close to what the 8 inch coil for my Outlaw shows and it works. It proves that the rx and tx coils are continuous, that is, no breaks in the wires.

    My take on the Deus1.

How about 13 bad batteries? 10 coils and 3 pinpointers! Since you are telling us there are issues with them, why so many?

Need help to ID this coil

It is also identical to the plug on the F5, F19, Gold Bug, Tek G2, G2+, and "Greek" models which use a different coil. It will probably work somewhat on either the F75 or the others mentioned but will only work well on one or the other. You will probably have to have a detector from both groups...

    My take on the Deus1.

Batteries drain on their own at one rate or another. A tiny led uses almost no electricity. Do you have to charge yours all the time before you use it or do you even have one?

Gotta share this info, went to a small dog park for a short hunt and did something different after watching a video.

What I was saying, is that, when I was in all metal with the recovery speed at one, a quarter would give a signal over 3 inches wide. When I adjusted the speed to 3, the signal was about the width of the quarter. It is about the same situation with my Vanquish 540. When in coin mode, the...

    My take on the Deus1.

The Deus was released in 2009. It is not surprising that some of the batteries have lost most of their capacity. If you have a newer one and you need to top it off every time you use it, you need to send it in to see what is wrong.

Could somone do me a test with your tesoro please

I have a Compadre that is modified to accept different coils. When the coil is disconnected, it doesn't make a peep when turned on. Same thing on my Conquistador and original Bandido 2, you would not even know you turned them on with the coil disconnected, they are completely silent and went...

Gotta share this info, went to a small dog park for a short hunt and did something different after watching a video.

The only problem with changing recovery speeds is the length of the signal changes too. A quarter seems pretty wide in 1 and clipped or short in 9.
