    How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

    To me that coil looks well abused. Like it was used many hours in rocks or gravel. I don't think my coils for my Whites detector looked that bad after 8-10 years of use. I didn't use coil covers either.

    I took it to a internal temp of 152° then ice bathed. Some of it hit 156°f internal temp before hitting the ice bath.
