    Best coil for the Excal in saltwater wading

    I personally like the standard coil you start going bigger it’s more drag and harder to pin point in my opinion if it’s the wet sand the bigger the better

    Keep it sell an original Excal 1000

    Love the excal, especially it easy to use. Turn on and go would always have at least one in my arsena. i would keep it for awhile and see how ou make out with a newer mach

    Totally forgot about this detector for water and salt beach hunting...Anyone ever have..

    I own the tdi First edition (black box). It’s not waterproof but let me tell you I think it’s the deepest pi out there( my opinion) and have a few pi. so if your hunting wet sand only and want to use a pi I would consider this one. but if you plan on wading in the water the fisher AQ.

    Changing the CTX Brake Pads

    Not sure if you done this in the past i take out the cam lock pin( with a center punch) cut two pieces of rubber the same size that’s on cam lock ( might need two glue pieces together) all depends on the thickness of rubber crazy glue the rubber to cam lock pads

    With the gold ring numbers on the ctx and the manticore gold ring numbers it seems that the ctx numbers are not as big of a scale as manticore was wondering how others feel about this i think I like them closer togethe
