    6" dd coil

    Try increasing you recover speed. I normally use sensitivity at 22 and reactivity of 6 in really trashy areas . It's an excellent coil an yes it can be a little noisy but I have fantastic results with it. Good luck.

    Yes, ist thing I tried was turning the sensitivity down and yes I was sick of listening to it. Thanks for the replies. I found the best solution was putting it in the closet and grabbing my Deus or Nox. HH

    Any way to adjust or turn off the overload signals on teknetics detectors . I've got a gamma 6000 that's almost unusable on some sites with lots of large shallow targets. Constantly lifting the coil will drive you nuts.

    Like Silverseeker says, If you can find a "deep one" go for it. The deep ones are getting harder to find. If you can't find a deep one then I wouldn't get one.

    Last one I bought new didn't get good depth. Not interested in any with a 10 inch coil. PM me if you have a deep one with 8" coil in very good condition.

    Again, my OCD got the best of me. I caved, and purchased a Fisher Impulse AQ.

    If it's anything like the original Fisher Impulse it will get unbelievable depth. I use the original in the surf and I come out the water completely exhausted from digging very deep targets. After using it a day or 2 I switch to the Deus 2 or the 900 to rest. My original has the 8" coil, I...

    Totally agree with you. I water hunt with a Deus 2 , Equinox 900 and an Original Fisher Impulse (with 8" coil). The Impulse will go a lot deeper in the water..
