    I bought my cz3d last year, and works flawlessly. It has the stock 8 inch coil, with coil cover, and a new 5 inch sniper coil. Also have a cover I bought for the control box. Its in excellent shape. I just want to do some water hunting now. Detector is still under factory warranty.

    Why do people silicone there coil cover on?

    Just curious. I just bought a cover for my coil, and it presses on pretty tight. I really don't think it will come off unless I pry it off . What's the purpose of the silicone?
