    Token Find

Here are 2 tokens I found during one hunt on July 7th. The first is an advertising token for Green River Whiskey (approx 1936) and the second is a New York World's Fair pressed penny. The texts read Obverse with Horse and Man - "Green River Whiskey" "The Whiskey With No Regrets" Reverse with...

    More Silver and Indians!

Took the trip back up to my sister's this weekend. I found 3 firsts for me. A Barber Quarter, a Buffalo Nickel and a Shield Nickel. The Buffalo and Shield are still soaking. Here's a preview of some of the stuff. The Indians were restless this weekend. I scored a Buffalo (as I just mentioned)...

    Weekend silver

Went to visit my sister, 2 1/2 hours away. She hooked me up with some yards to detect in. I found a large quantity of wheat pennies and these two! I'll be going back next weekend for more! [attachment 203376 July2and32011.jpg]

Thought for sure I'd have Silver in my pocket.

I printed out some old map of a nearby town and went out for a few hour to a plot of land that had a school on it rough between 1918 and the mid 60s. ALL CLAD. NOT even ONE Wheat Penny. $2.75 in Quarters $1.90 in Dimes $.05 in Nickels and $.18 in Pennies These were from surface to up to 8...

Beat Up Silver but, Silver Non the Less

The E-trac has certainly blown my silver drought away! I have never found as much in such a short period of time! I got my first Standing Liberty Quarter today and a really beat Merc. I wish there was a date on the Standing. It is an S mint mark which is rare on older coins here in...

My Oldest Coin yet - 1816 Matron Head!

The E-Trac does it again! I found this first year mintage (1819) Matron Head about 8 inches deep in a hole with 3 square nails! [attachment 175314 1816MatronHead10310.jpg]

Hit that DFX "cleaned out" ball field again.

The first hunt, I came away with a 1920 Merc and 2 Wheat pennies. I search a different part today and my take was 2 Indians (1882 & 1900), one Wheat (1915) and clad (.75 in Quarters, one dime and 2 pennies) added to it. I'm trying to get the Indians and Wheat cleaned up so I can show you some...

E-Trac CONTINUES to put an end to my Silver Drought

I managed a short hunt a ball field. A White's user told me that he had pulled silver from the field in the past. I scored a 1920 Merc and 2 Wheats. The one isn't posted because I'm soaking it. It's in rough shape. I experimented with scanning these in inside of photographing them. Not too bad...

E-Trac helps to put an end to my Silver Drought

Here some silver I found this week. It was tough trying to get the contrast and brightness right for them all together. The Mercury Dime is a 1926 with no mint mark, the Roosevelt Dime is a 1961 with no mint mark and the 1943 Washington Quarter has a Denver mint mark on it. Boy was I happy to...

    End of my Silver drought!

I recovered a worn 1943D Quarter this afternoon along with 3 wheat pennies. It sure felt good to see silver again! I actually pulled one penny out extra heavy trash running 2 tone ferrous for the first time.

    Still in a silver drought....

I went to another neighbor's house where I had detected a few times with my SE. Lots of iron nulling and trash. I did manage to pull 1916S, 1927, 1929, 1944 and 1951 Wheat pennies though. I really am liking this E-Trac!
