    X-terra lcd display- a number segment missing fix.

    Don't panic if you have a number segment missing on your x- terra display, the chances are it just needs the ribbon cable connector cleaning with some switch cleaner or IPA soaked into a cotton bud.

    Whites 5900 DI meter response depth.

    The meter on my 5900 does not lock on to coins past 4 inches , is this normal or is there an adjustment inside to increase the sensitivity of the meter ?

    Todays SE finds - A little devil and a pendent.

    Is a stand available for a blue box 5900 DI

    I have a whites coin master 5900 DI the one with the big blue control box. The problem is detector can some times roll over because of the shaft tubing under the box , it can turn over. Does any one know if a stand is still available for this detector.

    Coinhawk Settings.

    I made this set up as a nickel enhancer and general coin finding pattern. I found 15 coins in 1 hour . Sensitivity was set auto +3. 412 Hz nickel tone (set on the wide second from the left tone area) . Ground Coin. Set this with fast on which helps in trash.

    Depth increase with the 17 inch Coil.

    I watched a video on you tube the other day where some guys were doing depth tests on coins with the stock coil vs the 17 inch coil , from what I see it seems on your average inland site no extra depth is gained , however on dry sand the 17 inch coil will give you 2 inches at least extra depth...

    Old analogue finds ring.

    Well I was pleased to find this ring from a site I have been working for 2 years. The bad news is there is no hall mark , could be stainless steel or silver plated I am not sure.
