    Fargo finds?

Great write up and info about detecting in Fargo! Always interesting to hear stories from the early days of detecting, which places got hit hard, and what was found or what may be left. Is there a name for this seeded hunt you mentioned or somewhere I can go for more info? Thanks Rick. -From...

    The Equinox sucks

Nice skills and finds! I'm also like a turtle when hunting, never works out when I'm rushing the swing. Did you ever use a minelab FBS? I like the etrac so much for coins that it's hard for me to move on from it.

    The Equinox sucks

One of my coils went bad for my etrac. It would only detect half the normal depth and gave similar lower TID readings. Silver half would read around 38 Co. Not saying that's the case here, but a defect is possible

Big Silver Exposed / Old Detailed Cross / 1917 Dog License Tag

Nice hunting as usual! You sure are one of the best and most committed hunters out there. It's always surprising to me how deep the etrac can get in auto sensitivity.

    multi frequency

I was going to PM you the "Minelab Equinox Owners-Question" but it seems you did good finding it on your own. As far as technical information, I haven't seen a better or more informative thread than that one.

    Testing

Testing is also good just to see if your equipment is working properly! I was doing some testing before the season started and learned my favorite x-12 coil wasn't working properly. It was giving half the depth of another similar coil, and giving wrong readings on some coins. If I hadn't been...

Tough small park gives up deep silver barber Quarter!

Very nice! Pulling goodies from deep iffy signals is quite enjoyable. Great hunting

Any silver is always great, but barber quarters are even more great!

So what target has eluded your pouch after many yrs in the hobby...dont include gold pieces or morgan and peace dollars..

Haven't found anything older than barbers and Indians. But a couple things I'd like to find would be a sterling pocket watch and a sterling spoon.

I wasn't able to make out the Dr pepper in the picture. But now that you pointed it out, I looked it up and that is a really nice fob!! Cool souvenir from 1904 world's fair.

Wowzors!! That is an incredible array of finds. Lots of wheat pennies! Some nice looking buttons in there. I like that lions face and the thing that looks like a printing plate with the eagle. Grats on all the good finds!

A great school earned my “wings” a SLQ and some silver!

That is some fun hunting! Lots of different good targets. Whole lot of wheats and silver. Sterling relics are awesome, I like the whistle. Grats on your finds!

    Earphones for the ctx3030

Hope Silverstar was able to find a solution to his issue. Hornets are a great set of headphones. I don't have a ctx or experience with the issue, but I read that a stereo to mono adapter is needed for the speaker to shut off while using the headphones plugged in the machine.

    APEX

I think it looks like a great mid level machine. Only missing waterproof, which could be a deciding factor for some people. I'm most impressed by the design and how light it looks to swing
