    Found this small medicine bottle detecting on an old lot. The question is what type of medicine was it used for. It appears to have a begging dog embossed in the glass. Any one have any ideas.

    My old Beach Hunter ID had the same 950 style coil that wanted to float. The new model has a spider type coil. I will post results when I get it in the water. New coil should be in this week.

    My Eclipse 950 floats like a cork in water and when using it; it gets tiring trying to keep it submerged and on bottom. I have ordered one of the new spider versions in hopes it will be less buoyant working in shallow water with the V3i and DFX.

    I found this method works since I set it on the ground I am going to hunt which appears to have a slight effect on what delay works best. Roger

    Best method for me to set recovery speed is to place two coins on the ground a coil width apart and lowering the recovery speed to setting where you start to hear both coins at your normal sweep speed.

    Matt, I think the stock Magic program should have seen the Roman coin that it did not is rather perplexing. The only rejected ranges are +95, -95 to -89 should detect anything in the bronze (brass) range. The RX gain, Discrimination and All Metal settings are high enough to see an item...

    Many years ago my oldest son had watched “Treasure Island” on tv and decided to bury a pirate treasure in the back yard. All the loose change disappeared. I found the booty trying out my first metal detector in the back yard.
