I've read a lot of horror stories, here, that pertain to the ATX stem-nuts ...

... getting jammed up with silt and sand. So, one of the first things that I plan to do, when I receive my ATX, is to drill a small, 1/8"-1/4" hole into the lower stem, just above the iso-rod. I may even go as far as to drill a hole just above each stem-nut. The holes give the water that gets...

New Land Ranger Pro arriving today.

Got a great deal on a Land Ranger Pro package, on eBay. Haven't held a Bounty Hunter since I had my VLF-TR 840, back in the '80's. It was my first metal detector. HH - Daddy

Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger for sale ... $210.00 shipped!

Detector is in very good condition, and works as it should. Battery compartment is clean, Armrest is in nice shape, with foam that looks, practically, new. Has stock 5x10 coil. Coil has a few scuffs, and the front tips of coil stickers are starting to lift. Otherwise, no other problems to speak...

    Smooth deal with Harleybilly.

I needed some v-clips for a Sovereign, and Harleybilly stepped up and helped a guy out with a couple of new ones. Thanks, Billy. - Bill

WTT my Minelab 10" Tornado, Sovereign Coil for something smaller.

I've got two of the 10" Tornado coils for my Sovereigns, but no smaller coils ... well ... except for my 8" Coinsearch coil that is. It's not waterproof though and I need a waterproof coil. Would be interested in an 8" Tornado, 6x8" SEF, 8" Sun Ray, 5" Sun Ray ... etc. Would also be interested...

    Need a 7" coil cover/scuff plate ...

... that will fit a custom made, round coil that measures exactly seven inches across, at it's widest point. Ordered a Bounty Hunter cover on eBay but judging from the seller's feedback, shipping could take quite awhile (may be coming all the way from Shanghai?). The seller couldn't tell me...

    Coil structure question.

I've got a question that pertains to the 800/1000 coils. First, I'll mention that I have noticed that some lower rods measure 3/4" across at the coil end (the part that is inserted between the ears of the coil) while others measure 7/8". I've noticed that it doesn't take long for the rod end...

There was this horror movie that I saw ......

.... back in the seventies, on Creature Features. It started off showing a couple, metal detecting. One of them found a Conquistador's helmet and maybe a breastplate? If I remember correctly, they left the relics and their detectors lying on the ground to go off and do who knows what. :bouncy...

Anyone ever use a Bounty Hunter Automatic 8400?

I'm wondering how it performed. My first machine was an 840 and I remember it as being pretty but with not so great performance. Reason for asking is because someone local is selling one, in like new condition. Thanks - Daddy

Anyone near Chiefland, Fl. looking for someone to hunt with on occasion?

I'd like to find someone in my area to hunt with on occasion. I don't mind hunting by myself but it would be less boring and safer if I had a partner to hunt with, especially when hunting the water at night. I should warn you though that I am not one that hunts for an hour and then calls it...
