    The gold is at least 19k for natural nuggets. $48 a gram. If I sell to a collector I may get more than just for its gold value. Some pieces online similar in size are $350-$400.

    I made sure it wasn’t. I also made sure it wasn’t soldered on to a piece of jewelry then fell off. Of all the years hunting this area this is the first piece of gold I’ve found wouldn’t have thought of finding a gold nugget.

    It goes deep at the beach why not try it on land. I also dug up a 1887s seated dime at 6 inches the week before. Badly corroded.

    Dug up my first gold nugget but it wasn’t found in the heart of gold country in California. It was dug up in a park like setting in central California a couple of hours away from the gold hills. This patch of grass is still used by the public since the 1870’s. A miner must have dropped it...

    Atx coil cable

    No problems with replacement coil by Garrett for the older ATX. The new cable has a clear coating on it. Also I don’t recommend collapsing the detector.

    Back to the.... ATX

    I had my ATX coil replaced by Garrett back in 2019 a year after the warranty expired. No issues as of today. With all the negative comments about this detector it still sells for over $2000. I would stay away from older ATX machines that do not have replacement coil by Garrett.

    Anyone use a tarsacci metal detector for the beach? It’s been out for a few months. A buddy of mine uses one and said goes deep like a pi detector.

    Fertilized ground

    I’m getting a continuous hi/low signal hunting a fruit tree orchard that has been fertilized over the years. I have to lower sensitivity to 7 which is not what I want. I tried a grape vineyard and the same thing happened over fertilized ground. Works well at parks. Anybody experience this...
