    Good place to post this

Friday I was detecting a grassy strip between the side walk and the road. It's 100 to 150 feet from a church, with the church's parking lot in between. Out of no where this guy shows up and says he's the pastor of the church and I need to stop what I'm doing and leave. He was very mean about it...

    Simple things with the VX?

I've found turning the gain down helps settle the machine down allowing for clearer sounds. What you don't want to do is hit a trashy site with the gain turned up, it can be overwhelming, it's a very powerful machine.

    V3I Deep silver ?

Sorry, please don't take me wrong I'm not bashing anyone. The hobby needs people that digs into every setting and reports back their findings, we all become better because it. I just thought the gentlemen asked a simple question and got an answer that only an engineer with a slide rule would...

    V3I Deep silver ?

If I was reading this and thinking about getting a V3i I would probable get scared away. The V3i's greatest strength is it's flexibility in the right persons hands, it's achillies heel is it's flexibility in the wrong persons hands. When I got mine last year I promised myself to leave the...

Anyone own the F2 and F4

I own the F2 and really love the machine. It's biggest flaw that I can see is it's lack of real depth. I was hoping someone that owned both could tell me how much of a difference there is between the two. A few questions I have. Does the F4 have greater depth? Does the F4 have the same fast...

    V3i question

It says that also. The manual does leave one scratching their head. It's my impression it's saying from the center of the screen out is an inch in each direction. It can be hard sometimes to get it to read consentient.

    V3i question

I had to go back and read the manual. It says the default shows 2 inches as the display width. What I can tell you from my experience is, you need to pin point the target and pass the center of the coil directly over the target for it to be accurate. I also had to change the rate to 4 and the...

    V3I

Something I would suggest is down load the V3 manual off the Whites web site. The V3 manual goes into greater detail on certain subjects. According to the V3 manual page 39-40 the ground tracking probe shows 360 degrees of phase for each frequency of use. You can use that info to determine your...

New to the forum with F5 questions

First I'd like to say Hi to everyone. I have been detecting for 10 or so years now and have owned several detectors over the years. This forum seems to have more F5 users than on other forums and it seemed like the place to ask questions. I've been using the F5 for about a week now and I...
