    TTF ?

    I just got my Etrac a couple days ago. I have been reading about the benefits of TTF. I was wondering in TTF, if it was necessary to blank out any of the upper part of the screen to eliminate any false readings on iron. Thanks, Mark

    Large coils for Etrac

    15" WOT COIL

    Has anyone used the 15" WOT coil on their Exterra? I know the 10.5" DD coil is a killer for civil war relics. I thought the WOT should be even better for some of those hard hunted camps. Anyone have any experience useing one? Thanks, Mark

    Sovereign XS alkaline battery pack

    I have a Sovereign XS that only has rechargeable batteries. I was wanting to build a battery holder for alkalines. I believe the old alkaline pack was comprised of 2 holders that held 4 AAs each. I am not sure if the packs were wired parralel or in series. Does anyone know? Thanks, Mark

    GT vs Etrac

    I have noticed that most of the guys that are makeing a lot of finds with the Etrac are usually going by the tones instead of the meter. If this is the case, why would wouldnt the GT be just as good as the Etrac. Any opinions would be appreciated.

    Etrac vs Sovereign GT

    It seems to me that the people that are finding the most with the Etrac are mostly going by sound and not the meter. If this is the case. How close would a Sovereign GT come to competeing with the Etrac? Is there much difference in depth. Or is the Etrac just a faster response detector than the GT?

    ID #s for thin gold

    Did some testing on a bunch of thin hollow gold items. All the items are 14kt. The ring reads low because it is made out of hollow gold tubes. This is air test. 3"-4" was about the deepest any of the items could be detected. This was in Pro mode zero disc. Hope this was of interest to some hunters.
