Ran the Safari in all metal today

Went to the clad park, set the sensitivity in auto, lo trash, put on the 11' pro coil, and started swingin. I was able to swing very fast, as the processor spits out signals fast, with no disc circuit to send them thru. I listened for the tones above iron, as the audio has variable tones in this...

I just used up my first set of rechargeables on the Safari. My first impressions ..... I LIKE IT! The first few hours I used the 11" pro coil. Decent depth, excellent target seperation. Most of the time has been using the SEF 6 x 8 coil, in the trashy areas. That is an awesome coil. I have been...

Beach Hunter... 10" coil vs 12" coil...anyone use both?

Im looking to pick up a used model, wondering if the 12 coil is as sensitive to thin gold rings as the 10" would be? Depth is not a big issue for me, as all the water holes have stone bottoms in my area. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Park surrenders 1,000th coin to Omega:detecting:

I just found my 1,000 th coin from a nearby local park, that was developed in the 1970's. I've been using the Omega there since spring. Averaged about 25 coins per hour. Its now slowing down to about 10 per hr. I ve used all 3 coils, the 11" and 5" , being the most popular. 169 quarters, 256...

I set out to dig more nickels with my Omega today

We had close to 4 inches of rain the last few days, time to get out in the soup and see If I can dig more nickels with the O-8. I headed back to the park close to home where I have dug over 850 clad with the omega this spring. I decided to put on the 5" coil. and go over the heavy aluminum trash...

:teknetics:Omega pulls 850th coin out of same park

There is a small ballpark near my home, that I have been detecting with the Omega. I"m on my 4th battery charge, and have been using all 3 coils. I'm not sure if this park has been overlooked by other detectorists, or that the Omega is this good in trash. Rumor has it that the park is 30+ years...

How you guys doing finding nickels with the omega?

i started out only digging tight 56-57 readings, and still ending up with alot of square tabs. A nickel every now and then. When I get a bit farther away from the heavy trash areas, I started digging bouncy numbers, from 55-59 or so, and am coming up with dirty grungy nickels often times. I hit...
