    Recent finds

    I found these at two of my sites that produce almost every hunt. The 35 Washington was reading a solid 11-47 at 8 inches from both directions and the ground was very dry. I love when the Etrac makes that sound.

    I'm getting a handle on the Etrac

    Picked these up fron my last 2 hunts of about 5 hours. The Buffalo is 1920 and several of the wheats are from the teens. This makes silver #9 with the Etrac and #62 total for the year. I hoping to hit 100 this year.

    Last few hunts with Etrac

    The dog rabies tag is from 1953. The Merc is 1945-D, 1900 Indian and 10 wheats three of them are 1910. I also found around $3 in clad and lot of rusty IRON.

    Etrac Small coils

    Has anyone used the Sun Ray Stealth X-8, Minelabs 8" FBS or the SEF 8 x 6 butterfly coils on there Etrac. If you have what one do you prefer and why? Does anyone have any comparisons on theses coils? I would like to purchase one of the three mentioned.

    New Etrac's first 5 hours.

    This is my take from the first 5 hours with the Etrac. This is from a site that has produced over 100 wheat's and 26 silver coins with the V3i. My first thought is, I am impressed with how the Etrac locks onto a coin. It also has great separation capabilities and goes deep with little tweaking...

    It seems that everyone is right around $1498 for a new Etrac with free shipping. Who gives the best deal and choice on extras with the purchase. Most offer stuff that a seasoned hunter already has. PM me if you cant post the dealers name on the thread. Thanks

    My 50th silver coin for the year.

    The depth is within a 1/2 inch on most coins but it depends if the coin is flat or slightly on edge. Some of the larger silver are deeper than indicated usually 1/2 to 1 inch.

    A large silver first!!

    Fridays Hunt, more Silver

    I returned to the old church ball diamond and it produce more silver for me. I found a 41 Washinton, two silver rosies 64 & 49 and 4 wheats 3 were from the 30's.
