    New 4500 or used 5000???

I'm seeing several lightly used 5000's on the market for about the same price as a new 4500. For those of you who have owned both what's your opinion? I relic hunt in slightly mineralized soils and some of my sites do have a little iron. I read one opinion that depths are nearly the same. Maybe...

First Time out with the F75 ltd!!!

Finally got the F75 in and finally got to hit a well worn civil war site after months of researching detectors and local historical sites. I didnt set the world on fire but I did break the ice. I think the big chunk of metal is from a cannon ball which my friends said they found quite a few...

    Help with F75 LTD settings

I was curious what setting you relic hunters use for optimum depth. I will be hunting in good soil, little trash, so I will be digging every target. Do you use fast grab to GB or do you do it manually? Do you use boost process or all metal mode? What tones do you prefer???
