    What is EQ800 Worth?

    Guys, I need a 6" coil for my Equinox. Called one dealer and he wanted $169.00. Seems a little high but maybe that is the "range". I would take a used coil, in good shape naturally, but I can't find one. Any recommendations? Off brands, etc?

    MikeO weight and balance is a huge part of any detector I now buy. I hate to admit it but it is even more important than depth. I'm 86 and it means 30 min. of detecting vs. 3 hours.

    A question for you folks

    On the farm here where I live it's mostly iron. Lots of old houses that are now gone. but lots of nails. I enjoy finding old tools from the 1800's but I'm not intentionally looking for them. Just an occasional side benefit. In the fields I use little to no disc.

    Relic master you are right about the glass protectors. I tried to cut one with scissors and it left a shattered mess. I'll bet some one out there has found a way to successfully cut the glass protectors. Has anyone tried a hardware store glass cutter tool?

    Mudwhale, I don't think I had it in Diving You say no buttons work in this mode. Does this mean you can't turn it off? I could not turn it off util I depleted the batts. and recharged. Too many electrons floating around and no place to go in my D12.

    Oldkoot, tell me about Terry Soloman. Tele., address, etc. I have a couple of detectors he might could use. I agree also about the Simplex. Never read anything bad about it. I bought one when they first came out. Only kept it a couple of months. A bad habit I've got.
