    just got a Equinox 600 as a back up to my 800.

    Anyone had a charging problem with the Nox? My Brother in law's blinks very fast and doesn't seem to be charging.

    the magnets collect iron shavings from the sand. To make sure you keep those contact i use the blue painters tape and all you have to do is dab the sticky part of the magnet. That debree is the major problem of not charging.

I think the reason I think the pin pointer & TID maybe caused because they made the processor more sensitive and the processor has to handle more so it may be a trade off of finding more or missing more. Some will complain they don’t like it then some will say they love it. when you operate the detector 600/800 in normal mode it will not be affected with updates.     Ever time it is turned on it has to calibrate. If the ground is mineralized you have to ground balance to the ground then find the target.

    Nox acting real erratic

    I’m guessing you’re talking about the 11” coil with sand. Pop skid plate off and fill cavities with Silicone seal and you’re saying problem will be gone. Next do not run your sensitivity any higher than 18 that should stop your noise problem

    Equinox Skid Plate

    Here on Lk Michigan the sand is so fine the coil fills with vert fine sand. I took the cover off and filled my 11” coil cavities on the bottom with silicone sealer. Problem solved. No sand anymore. I don’t know if the 15“ has the cavities like the 15”. The 6”:doesn’t. Doug.
