    U2robert I still keep my skid plate after filling all the cavities. But I only have to remove it a couple time a year and hardly anything there.

    Was getting filled with the fine sand from Lk Michigan sand and would just pour out. Finely fill all the open cavities in my 11” coil with silicone sealant. Problem solved. Now nothing pours out of my skid plate.

    Why would you want someone to spend their hard earned money on a Detector and then wish they would have put that money toward a better unit and also have to learn all over again. the crazy thing here is the Nox will work right out of the box without doing anything and it can be factory reset so...

    The top #1 Detector is Equinox/600/800. The Vanquish is runny close. Rem the vanquished has three multiple models. I have both the 600&800. if I could afford it I would have a vanquished behind my car seat just to have it with me all the time. I mainly use my 800 Doug

    The AT pro is a good detector. I know some that swears by them. I have seen many that have gone from the AT to the 800 but I have only seen one that went back to the AT. Most say the 800/600 just finds more. In my opinion the 600/800 have a more sensitive processor and also the 5 tone...

    Nope not gonna happen. They don’t make one and they have found the DD work better.

    I here there is a rumor of that and I sur hope so. i had a 5x10 for my Xterra 70. I could detect tight cluttered areas and still be able to cover much more area. i cant wait. Doug

    Big Tony. No big deal with the holes. Every time I came back from the beach sand just pores out of my coil and if that sand got wet the coil got heavier. I pulled my skid cover off and filled every opening with silicon and let it dry overnight. Problem solved. Doug

    Yes but the 8 inch you cant cover much of an are. Thats why I like the 5x10. Two inch makes a bid differance.

    I had a 5x10 for my XTerra 70 and loved it and I could cover tight spots and some ground with it. If minelab ever comes up with one I want to be a test person because I couldn’t afford one now at my age. The 5 x 10 DD would be the best coil that Minelab could ever produce for the Equinox. Doug

    Pushing the depth...........

    Remember to hit on a deep target you almost have to be direct over it. Off just a littler and you will miss. the coil signal tapers to a blade type signal below the coil. So low and - slow - . Off an inch or a slight change in direction can make a difference because most targets are not lying...
