Remember the wire to the coil is metal but stationary but if it flops and and moves to much it can cause a false signal. so it take a certain amount of speed to be able to detect an object.     Strange but true.

    Sounds like the machine is fine. If you are off just a little on any coil you can miss items. sweep speed can also affect missing targets. the higher the recovery rate can reduce depth. No detector is perfect and neither is the detectorist. just have fun.

    Try using a different USB. make sure their is no debris on the connector magnet. Use painter tape to remove. also you may need to do a Factory reboot. I’ve seen where some had to do that.

    Maybe next year they may be able to do something about the depth gauge. But I’m guessing not because I’m thinking the reason not is because the Nox’s processor I just more sensitive and having troubles doing that. I think that is the reason the Nox if finding much more than other brand...

    I would never go back. I think Minelab engineers are smarter than me. The TDI seams more stable. It May be me but my pinpointing seems to be more accurate. i like bring able to quickly switch to 4khz when I get a faint signal with no TDI. Doug

    Large Coil

    same signal to all coils. remember the patter for the smaller coils is much smaller so you have to be much more centered over the target. Off just an inch you may miss the target with the coil. Example, if you had a 1” coil v/s a 15” coil. Both with same signal. Doug

    Ok thanks Mark. that’s what I i noticed in your video and the same experiencing when out detecting. So when we see a more solid lock on signal we may not have to dig as deep of a plug. But their is always times we still may have to Lol. Doug
