    Still having low battery issues with Excal

    I posted a while back about getting the low battery sound after 1-1/2 hours or so of hunting. Changed the battery pack in the pod, and it's still doing it. It's cut a few hunts short, and I can't figure it out. Thinking about parting ways with it. :surrender:

    Compadre hard-wired 5.75 coil

    I just picked-up a like new Compadre with the hard-wired coil. Didn't realize at first that the coil was hard-wired, since it has the hex-nut shaped connector on the back of the control box.     I talked to an old guy today who has been digging a LONG time, and he says that the Los Banos 1266X is one of the deepest and best relic machines ever made. Is this true? Next question is how heavy are they? Thanks!
