August 19th finds from a torn down house spot

I got a neat little dragonfly pin that isn't marked so I tested it and it's 10K, I didn't realize what I had till I cleaned it up and thought that ain't brass, I also got 3 wheats, a button, key, neat old Michigan Electric RY Co token from Lansing that's undoubtedly an old trolley token, a...

Finding when more is too much

My RXgain is usually always 10, I use 5khz bandpass, all metal at 70 but this can change temporarily when pinpointing the ultra deep targets. In Michigan most of the older coins are always deep especially in a manicured sod type situation, there's a ball park I've been hunting for years and my...

    V3i Two Part Question

Congrats on your purchase of the V3i Sarge :bthumb: I bought mine soon after they upgraded from the V3, I was using an MXT before and still have it. Congrats on finding silver on your second time out! I also found silver on my second time out too and I was using the factory deep silver program...

Whites support is 2nd to NONE!

I too think they are priced too high, the detector should have came with them to begin with. I still have a cord on my headphones and they work just fine.

    Done with the D2 coil.

I've got 2 D2 coils, the first one I bought before the Vision was even on the market and the second one came with my V3i but I still use the first one I got cause it's considerably lighter than the one that came with my V3i. I only use 2 coils anymore and thats the D2 and 4x6shooter for the...

New After Market Battery Coming out !!

I'll stick with my nimh's they work just fine for me. I put together a 2500ma from cells I bought at a battery outlet and the pack holds a charge longer than the two stock nimh that I have. Next time I put one together I'm going to put 8 cells in it for even better results.

    New V3i on the way

I've been detecting 20+ years and it's the best detector I've ever had, the V3i does take patience but well worth it.

    Here's my last couple hunts

Here's some finds I made down my road a block at daybreak on the 14th, it's a city park that I've been hunt for 20+ years and yes I still find some goodies there every now and then. Yesterday morning I went to an old ballpark that I have been hunting for years. This is my first...

Not only is the V3i a remarkable detector

Whites electronics in my opinion makes the greatest metal detectors and they are unsurpassed in customer service along with the fact there are even more rewards than just digging up finds. I recently sent in a story to Whites about my V3i and here it is...

New V3i user...iron infested site tips?

That's the thing I really like about the V3i is once you've got the hang of it you can easily adjust on the fly while you're out there. I'm thinking about making 3 different programs myself all for different size coils. I have the 9.5 but it's an old one as is my 6x10. I pretty much only use...

4th of July merc from the same school as yesterday

My brother and I met back at the gradeschool I went to yesterday. It wasn't even more than five minutes after my brother said, I can't get into hunting these schoolyards and left, I found the merc. He is spoiled on them house teardowns I think.

July 3rd morning hunt at a grade school

I've only hunted this school once before very shortly and always figured there would be silver there and I was right. I was originally heading to the ballpark but the little school caught my eye on the way, I really got tore up by mosquito's so the next time I go there I'll be armed with some...

    VX3 questions for the newbies.......

Personally I doubt there is an unlock code for the VX3. I've worked with electronics for quite a while now and when buying different models of something a lot of times the chassis itself is identical but there will be components missing or values changed on components for the difference as...

    Howdy everyone

This will be my first thread posted in the V3i forum, I've posted in the MXT forum but it's been quite a while since my last post. I bought my V3i a year ago in May and I must say it's quite the detector, it's the best one that I've ever had. I'll post a pic of some of my finds. It's my first...

    Rail Road spikes

I found a whole bunch of railroad spikes last winter in the woods section of a park, last year is the first I've started using the relic mode with my V3i and I must say with some tweaking it's a great program indeed. I also found a bunch of tools and a few cast iron toys too along with several...
