Xterra pro = short coin hunt

I do not mind digging trash on an old site--it tells me a lot and I know if goodies was there I'd be hitting them.

First Day with the Fisher Impulse AQ

Before the storms took them the piers from High Island to Gilchrist on the upper Texas coast were good for Red Fish, Black Drum, Rays, Sheepshead, Barracuda and Sharks on the large end: 5/0 & 6/0. For really big sharks using cut bait or live mullet double that. When we had Rollover Pass we used...

    CZ-3d gone?

You were speaking one frequency on a 2 frequency forum. :throw:

But that is your ground and no way to know what the settings are elsewhere.

First Day with the Fisher Impulse AQ

There are hooks and there are hooks, search harder Pilgrim. (the hooks I use are between ferrite and martensite in grain, and forged not bent wire and between 4/0 and 10/0) I had 40 pound test Ande recommended for pier fishing, it broke on the cast: I went back to Trilene XL--problem solved.)

First Day with the Fisher Impulse AQ

The stainless hooks are made of 420 martensite stainless which is a magnetic high carbon and chromium, moly and nickel alloy that is heat treated and very strong with corrosion and wear resistant, meaning they stay sharp. When you use a lot it saves money in the long run. (I buy boxes of 500 or...

    Using a Greek Series(Tek) 8" Round Coil on F75/70?

I also use a 10" concentric on my F-75 but its made for it and not an Omega or some other model: it is deeper, discrimination is better and more consistent and i.d.'s bottlecaps better, and is much quieter. I also have a Nel Tornado for it: it is an all around better DD than the stock 11" biaxial.

So the Axiom, think its curtins for the Atx

Steve Herschbach said the Axiom is not quite as powerful as the GPZ 7000 but for the lighter weight its now his go to machine. (and at 1/2 the price and the military discount its an even better deal)

How does fish hooks and stainless hooks read? (And nothing is more tiresome than trying to hunt and fight waves that come rolling in.) Adding a ground helps on discing out the small iron in low conductors too.

why no quest sub forum ????

If you consider they copied the Tek T-2 and violated the copyright then that might equate to "designed in U.S." :throw:

why no quest sub forum ????

Really, define "good." I'm seeing videos of them being wrapped around trees. Maybe people should ask just who Quest is. It is a company owned by Mao Quang Deng who is the owner of Deteknix. First Texas engineers investigated the Deteknix Quest and the software and found it to be a 1:1 copy of...

Simplex underwater with wireless headphones and antenna?

I would think simply running a wire upward using the simply process of Induction would suffice, and wrap the bottom of the wire into a coil and position it over the box. You are talking about a very short distance too so not much energy needs to be excited into the wire/coil for it to be...

    Dogs and metal detectors

I wonder, will they continue to leave little puddles and piles and will someone be required to clean it up (we do not want Heaven turning into San Francisco) or will these little indiscretions just magically disappear? (I am reminded of the Twilight Zone episode where the old hunter Hyder and...

Xterra pro = short coin hunt

In my experience hunting, the effects ground mineral, depth and corrosion can have clad and silver at times read the same and can put copper CENTS (there is no penny) right in there with them. Being able to discern the difference is a nice luxury, but its not always there and we get surprised at...

Europe's Largest Metal Detector Distributor Gives Minelab The Boot

Yet ML did not drop them its the other way around: given ML's reputation since the Equinox has come out on quality I do not see them as being able to threaten anyone on "do this or else".......As to Quest I have read its a Chinese made copy of the T-2 and owned by Mao Quang Deng & Deteknix Inc...
