    I did the 1.11 on my older Legend and I'm about as incompetent tech wise and as anyone could be and have had no issue whatsoever with pinpointing other than the previously mentioned lack of confidence in the depth readings. Seems my Legend has three depth indications , surface , 4 to 6" or ...

    Depth indication is only marginally accurate but have never had an issue with location. I wasn't aware there was a problem unless you are referring to the handheld one.

    HGE stands for "High Grade Electroplate," "18K HGE" means the item is electroplated with 18 karat gold. I agree about digging the targets that just sound good regardless of the VDI and your wife loving it is the best place for it!(y)(y)

    I looked in a dog park for a man's lost ring once , found a few tags , no coins and the ground was like concrete.

    Legend hands down , are they new or used and what coils come with the legend. Doesn't really matter the legend is leaps and bounds worth more than the Simplex

    The CTX is a beast and it should be for the price. Dump the GPS and put the same package in a light weight model and it would be another winner.

    Who cares ?! 95% of the trash in the parks I have hunted is non ferrous to begin with. If you are a dig everything type detectorist then go for it , the iron will be the least of your "treasures" but the Ronald McDonald House in your area will love all the pull tabs you bring them and the park...

    I have a friend who attempted that and it was a short adventure for him. I doubt if he covered 10 square feet before he saw the lack of wisdom in that decision. As they say , the best lessons come from bad decisions.

    It was high , almost zinc penny high which made me suspicious but I found another with the Deus 1 that ran high and it was genuine. Worst thing was , I stopped hunting with time to spare I was so pumped up :(

    Possibly a large animal (mastadon?) turd that got fossilized and resulted in the outer and inner color difference. Be sure you wash you hands after handling;)
