    I can remember being told by members of the Compass forums, when I had my 77b, not to use 9v batteries in it. Had to buy the AA battery holders online. Maybe Reg's unit is a custom job?

    I hear you loud and clear. I should have kept my Eq. 800. Sold it during the Winter w-the intention of buying another later that following Spring. That never happened so I just feel like I'm missing out. My Anfibio and F75 serve me well.

    Figures that since I'm contemplating buying a Manticor, all of the problems with them are going to start popping up on the boards. Don't they test these things before they leave the factory? :thumbdown:
