    Need help

Set up a test garden bury coins at a decent depth then adjust your settings to find the coins in your soil conditions. You might be running too hot, which will cause falsing. What kind of depth are you getting? What are your settings?

Got the Detech SEF 12 x 15 coil. Took it out to a very hunted out park today. Scored 1912 D V nickel, 1900 Barber dime, 1903 IHP, 1942 Merc and 3 junker pieces of jewelry. The depth is always deeper than the displayed depth. It does hit deeper and covers more area. My buddy ran his CTX the...

    Pulling settings together ... help!

Start with Fox's coin and jewelry program. Adjust the RX Gain to your soil, then AM and Disc. Only one change at a time. Then you can adjust the tones to how you want, I like modulation off, VCO on for pinpointing. Run in 3 freq and start out digging everything until you can tell what you...

    Detech 18 x 15

Thanks for the info. I run the Big NEL coil on the At Pro and it's great for coin hunting. Goes deep on small targets and covers a lot of area on each sweep.

Depth is not really what I want.....

I use my V3i with the Ultimate 13 coil in some highly trash areas. I've found gold rings and coins in highly trashed areas. But if you really want to separate the trash and identify the target run the 4 x 6 coil. T will also hit 6 to 6 inches depending on you soil.

Dig down 10 " and come out with my second ever Shield nickel it's pretty toasted but shiny on one side. I was disappointed new it sounded like big silver. Rescanned the hole and BANG 91 again...

    New V3i User

I have the V3i and AT Pro. Love the Bigger Nel coils. Anyway if you like the big coils go with the Ultimate 13. It's awesome. Start with Coin and Jewelry and modify form there. I can only get RX to 7 here in Spokane. But run AM 72 and Disc 82. Somewhere read you should keep DISC 10 higher...
