    Some type of a plug???

Love those old demolition fill sites, a person could make a full time job of it and never be done sifting through all the junk. If you have the patience for it, a place like that will generally reward you for your efforts eventually and give up some amazing stuff.

    Some type of a plug???

Yes, so is the design of your find to this sort of function... to recessed into a hardwood or tile floor for a low profile. As well, the utilitarian finish, unlike the drum plate, which looks chromed and was pressed with the Ludwig name... one designed to be seen, the other not noticed. Is...

    Some type of a plug???

Say Ronstar, but that looks so familiar, swear I've seen those lying around in a junk drawer somewhere, but can't put a finger on it... wanna say hardware from a Singer sewing machine cabinet but don't think so.... Not sold as a final solution as any examples of them seem to have 3 or 4...

    Belt buckle

Dapman, tend to agree with Ronstar for a couple of reasons. First, the light construction of the loop fastenings. Not that they don't exist, but could not find any military examples matching that style of the back with the crimped over flanges fastening the D-loops. This puts me in mind of the...

    Belt buckle

Hey Dapman, interesting belt plate, as you mentioned after an extensive search through a lot of resources, was not able to find a match. Odd thing... did you count the stars? 14 That is an unusual number of stars for historical items, flags, coins, buttons, emblems and such... on most things...

In the middle of posting this it got ID’d

Yep, Ronstar, I'd say the lady nailed it. Try an image search for Victorian sash pin buckle and it brings up lots of examples similar to yours. I daresay in it's day it was probably plated but that has all corroded away...

    Any ideas on this?

Looks like a wire crimp connector, Ace350... possibly from this company, ITC Electrical components.... betcha if you looked through their product catalogue, you might find a match... https://www.itcproducts.com/docs/pdf/catalogs/4/EC-1904%20-%20Wire%20Termination.pdf

    Think it's silver ????????????????????

Nice medal, u2robert... at the link below, slightly different from yours, but fair guess it's on the right track: Boy Scouts of America, Explorers/Explorer Scouts advancement medal, 1949-1958 From the look of the pitted corrosion and intended for the Boy Scouts, would guess silver plated...
