Barber silver, Indian cent, Buffalo Nickel, Wheat-backs, and Shriner's silver pin

Another incredible day at the hunted out park. The soil is soft and moist and my new V3i program is working great! The buffalo nickel I found was a 1923, but when I cleaned it the surface lost all detail. The 7 wheat backs date from 1917 - 1958. Most are from the teens and twenties. The Shriner...

    Calvary Button

Here's few finds from this mornings early hunt. I don't find these with any letters usually. Waterbury Button Co. on the back. Sometimes i find them with the I, (Infantry), this is a first for me, with a C, for Calvary, I think. Troops occupied Fort Sherman here in Coeur d'Alene in the 1870's...

Trifecta Silver! Plus a shout out!

Got my V3i back from Whites today and I have to say a word of praise for Mary and the service techs. They treated me beyond my greatest expectations! Love this company! No I don't work there, if your wondering. I asked them for the new v4 upgrade, but I'm a little premature on the launch date...

101 Ranch historic copper plate/with live video water dig

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LFwX_k_Yss This is one of the most interesting pieces of history i've ever dug. In the lake, 3' of water, V3i and in the middle of winter. Had to break the ice to have a spot to work. If this doesn't get you off your but to go find something, nothing will. Go...

Todays rainy day gold coin, my second!

This is a cruel trick to play on a guy, to open up the plug and see a gold coin staring up at you and it be Canadian. Second time it happened. No offense to my neighbors to the north, but nobody takes them here in Idaho. And yes I did scratch it, thanks for noticing. Sorry if you thought it was...

Never used White's 4x6" Eclipse Shooter DD Search Coil

I love the 4x6 coil. I especially like the 4x6 next to a cyclone fence. Normally you can't get close but with the 4x6 you can scoop up all the silver everyone left behind. Go get you some!

First Silver of the year, unusually warm weather.

Had some unusually warm weather in the panhandle of Idaho. Hit 57 degrees yesterday. Everything is thawed out, so I had to get out and take the DFX for a walk. Put the super 12" whites coil on and scrounged up my first silver of the year. All three are silver. Also snagged a wheat back 1958d...

    Pocket Knife Frustration!

Don't you hate when you dig up a great old knife and it's always rusted? I just cleaned this one up and the scales are super cool! Too bad it wasn't preserved somehow, it's also really skinny. Also pictured is some kind of Marine emblem, a 1945S War nickel, and 5 wheats. One is a 1916, nice! To...

It pay$ to follow leads! Watch Fob!

This was from this mornings quick dig! Some people work out at the gym in the mornings, but I like to give the V3i a workout instead. My first watch fob, nice! I was on a fresh dig when one of the "onlookers" told me of a place that might be good. I checked it out right away and it payed off! I...

    Pull Tab Education 101

My picture of today's "Pull tab" finds, (on the right) tells me, much about the area I'm hunting. First let's clear the air. I dig all signals, and because I like the gold rings so much, I therefore dig all the pull tabs. But have you ever wondered how old they were? I've included a picture...

Itching for a water dig, produces a few prizes!

I was watching all your videos and reading your posts and I couldn't wait to get out and do a dig! So since it's cold and snowy, plus a bit frozen, the water is my winter alternative drug of choice. Yes I have to have my fix, and I don't care where I go, I must dig something. Off to the local...
