    Laplander you know what Minelab said.... With the Manticore there's "more power to the coil" giving better depths but a lower battery life. No site is ever hunted out, and this is definitely the case with the Manticore! Nice finds, Congrats!

    Just out of curiosity, are you not updating the software because of the bad reviews from those that did? I have heard from a bunch of 900 users that report not to update. Just curious.

    There are plenty of other metal detector shops in the USA. The benefit is the Minelab freebies that are being offered for ordering from an official Minelab dealer. Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

    Its definitely the MultiFrequency and faster processor that helps discriminate what in the ground that is the selling point of the D2. Waterproof is the extra bonus. Lets not forget that next year there will be a smaller coil option offered as well. :cool:

    It depends on the field stubble. If its corn stubble you might stick with the smaller coil or even the stock coil because of the stubble and row size. If its just a field or if its say soybean stubble then go with the larger coil. I've used the Tornado coil for a bunch of fields using my etrac...

    I bought one for a little over $30 back before the company stopped all production. I also have their Equinox/etrac RNB battery. These batteries last forever before they need charged. It would be a great stocking stuffer for the dedicated Equinox/Etrac user.

    You were correct, but now they are back in production with this being their first production battery.

    How many hours would you guess this coil has been used.

    Thats most definitely been used quite a few times over various terrain. Thats an HF coil off of a XP Deus, I would now be worried about how good that battery is inside the coil.
