    Heartbreaker NOT!!!

OL 14K usually stands for “overlay” 14K. So a thin layer of 14K gold over copper, brass or silver. It’s still real gold but just a thin layer. I send chains like that to the smelter for melt value since there is enough gold to equal a gram or a bit less which pays me a few $$$. It all adds up...

    XP2 High frequence coil

I have not used the HF2 coil at a saltwater beach yet. If I did, I would only use it in dry salt sand or slightly wet salt sand and I wouldn’t submerge that coil until XP get a water tight seal for the lower shaft mounted battery. For saltwater Beach modes I would only use 29 kHz max frequency...

    Nox 600

If you are saltwater beach and surf detecting, I would not submerge an out of warranty Nox 600 as stated above by Donna(NJ. Check with the seller to see what kind of coil nut is on the stock 11” 600 coil. Minelab changed the coil ears to prevent so much coil ear damage. The newer 11” coil has a...

Does the Jarir ATX reach a depth of one meter easily?

Depth for the ATX and any pulse induction detector changes with the size of the coil and the size of the target. The ATX with its largest coil may be able to hit targets deeper than 1 meter if they are large like targets that weigh 50 grams or heavier. However, I would choose the Garrett Axiom...

(Want to sell) Minelab SDC 2300 for sale

Equinox 800, Equinox 900, Manticore and Nokta Legend can all handle some iron mineralization since they use simultaneous multi frequency tech in their gold prospecting modes. The SDC2300 will sound off on the same hot rocks as the Equinox 800/900 Manticore and Legend but it is much more...

(Want to sell) Minelab SDC 2300 for sale

That's a $2000+ bundle deal. $1750 is a great used price for that pulse induction detector. $1000 is a ridiculous super low-ball offer for that detector bundle.

Nokta's new service rep is Ryan McCarty who is a multi brand dealer and runs Metal Detecting Shop.

    XP2 High frequence coil

Using the HF2 coil with V3.1 software, as long as I keep the Max Frequency on 29 kHz, target IDs are really good using all of the factory search modes. Max Frequency 53 kHz, they start to up average fast with everything reading 3 to 5 target IDs higher. 89 kHz......I just use that for dig it all...

Can't get Deus 2 remote to go into UPDATING screen

First, turn off your puck while trying to update your remote. For Deus 2, components are updated separately. Make sure you sign out and do a fresh sign in of your XP account before you try to update any Deus 2 component. I even sign out and sign back in for each component update. If you don’t...

Whites VX3 Garrett Vortex VX9 Target ID Accuracy Video

I don't want Garrett to bring back the V3i/VX3 unless it has way better audio response speed/recovery speed, way better simultaneous multi frequency operation and way better EMI mitigation. Keep the cool screen, the MXT single frequency relic mode operation, the really nice audio choices...

Whites VX3 Garrett Vortex VX9 Target ID Accuracy Video

If you watched the video you will see that the Vortex part of the video was later in the day (darker). I wanted to do the video in one take but the lightening and a short shower forced me to go in for a while.

Whites VX3 Garrett Vortex VX9 Target ID Accuracy Video

I only had access to the Vortex for 24 hours. Testing it for Garrett. Wouldn’t have mattered much lightening or not. All the VX3 and V3i detectors I’ve owned and used have not handled suburban EMI very well using multi 3 frequencies, especially WiFi and nearby electric lines

    V3.1 - Final

did you do the software update for the WSA ll XLs? My WSA ll backphones stay on whatever setting I put them on. Pitch 2 is right after Pitch in the Tones sub menu within Discrimination.

    V3.1 - Final

I haven't downloaded it yet. Still using public Beta 3.08. I will load it this weekend after others try it out incase there a bugs. Terry, I used the HF2 coil at a tot lot in Denver today before I got rained out. I was using the HF2 coil, Sensitive program running mostly default settings. I did...

Thoughts from those who have the Deus 2 9.5 HF coil

3.08 was the final beta version and XP was just double checking 5 days for possible bug reports. I guess they didn’t get any. I’m keeping mine on Beta 3.08 for a week for the same reason in case there are bugs in V3.1. They are basically the same unless you have the X-trem hunter.

Thoughts from those who have the Deus 2 9.5 HF coil

XP released V3.1 software today 7/30/25 for Deus 2. V3.1 is available for download on their website with complete change log information. V3.1 is official public software instead of beta software.

    Multi IQ on the Elite

Those three frequencies are the frequencies that are transmitted into the ground using the Park and Field modes on the Equinox models and the X-Terre Elite. Beach modes transmits 2.6, 7.8 and 24 kHz instead of 39 kHz. How those frequencies are then processed after coming back to the coil on the...

Thoughts from those who have the Deus 2 9.5 HF coil

It is for me as long as I don't do something stupid and try to do a selective digging coin hunt with max frequency on 53 or 89 kHz. 29 kHz has worked really well for me on USA coins and larger jewelry. Micro jewelry hunting, I am switching to 53 or 89 kHz. As far as I can tell, target IDs using...

Thoughts from those who have the Deus 2 9.5 HF coil

I saw your reply over on Friendly. At the moment USA shipments are on hold until the tariff situation for France and the EU is solidified. Price has already gone up 10% on some US dealer pre-order websites. XP is a small company and they can't eat the entire 15% tariff. So far like I and...
