Teknetics T2 SE is it really as good as they say.

Sorry, I do not know if they are still being produced. Best bet would be to watch the classifieds on the various detecting sites. BTW,, I mispoke,,,, the T2 takes 4 AA batteries as I think on it more.

Teknetics T2 SE is it really as good as they say.

I still have my T2SE. It is every bit as good as its reputation boasts,,,, found plenty of cool stuff with it. Lightweight, deep and only requires two AA batteries. It is a monster in all-metal. Boost Process is killer in the woods also. If I remember correctly, I mostly ran it a 2+ tones...

    Any ham radio hobbyist here?

I'm running a 1980's Icom IC-740 with a homemade 10 meter inverted Vee wire antenna. Nothing special, but I've got less than $200 in the whole setup and I've made contacts over 4000 miles with it https://www.rigpix.com/icom/ic740.htm

First time out with the Apex

Welcome to the forum! Like everyone else has mentioned, it is probably a plow tip or some other iron. That said,,, who knows really. Could be a car alternator, a jar full of coins or possibly even a cannonball. I've been there before. You hate to walk away from a signal when there is potential...

A good Sunday for a quick hunt

Cool find! Can't confirm exactly what it is or what it may have been used for, but I have a tidbit of info for you. Silver and other precious metals are typically measured in troy ounces and one troy ounce is 31.1 grams,,,, not 28 grams. Again... not saying it's not silver, but based on the...
