Deus II on Freshwater Beach - Any Tips?

I like the fast program also using pitch, but it is hot to pick up everything. I find lots of rings with it. Mostly cheap bling. I use the puck and quickly switch to a modified park program to check out signals.

    Silver necklace chain

After dinner park hunt I was rewarded this nice 24” chain stamped 925 and Italy on the other side. And dug this aluminum coin from India. Having trouble reading the date cause it is deformed. Also a couple bucks in clad but you all know what that stuff looks like so left it out. Thanks for looking.

Anyone ever find any old silver coins (walking liberty, standing liberty, barbers, etc.) in Utah?

They have been doing a sidewalk tear out along 7th east from Liberty Park going south. I haven’t jumped in but have seen a few guys there in the evenings. I hunt Liberty a lot but things are deep there. A guy dug a gold coin there on the north east corner last summer. I got a barber dime and an...

Anyone ever find any old silver coins (walking liberty, standing liberty, barbers, etc.) in Utah?

I’m not sure where in Utah u hunt but the older areas I refer too is the old boundary of Salt Lake when the city was first established and set by Brigham Young as primarily 9th west, 9th south, 9th east and the Avenues. Also the area known as Chesterfield out in West Valley where the old wagon...

Anyone ever find any old silver coins (walking liberty, standing liberty, barbers, etc.) in Utah?

Yes infrequently though. Hunt the fringe areas of the older parks and curb strips in older areas within the older areas. The parks here in Utah have been hit hard every time a new machine comes out. I convert my clad to gold by buying nuggets with it. I usually am able to buy a gram a month or...

    WS6 no backlight

Glad you like it. I also think it’s better than the headlamp. That being said, in today’s world Deus dropped the ball on the backlight. Maybe they figured to opt out. Only they can answer that one. They have been mute on it.

    WS6 no backlight

The best solution I have found is the neck light book light. It recharges and is lightweight and perfect when wearing the ws6 on the inside of my left wrist to bring it up so I can see the screen in the dark.

Coins - Coins - Coins; Going away?

Monday morning regular park hunt barely made gas money. Did get lucky and find a 79 Kennedy half under a leaf. Costume jewelry abounds also.

    Why XP???

Yep it’s a bummer but where there is will there is a way. If I am going out late in the evening I find myself in the dark often. I have this little usb rechargeable neck light booklight made for camping etc. that I got cheap on fleabay that I take along. It really saves the day ( in case of...

Coins - Coins - Coins; Going away?

I received an email today Chase Bank is introducing a new pay method using your debit and charge cards for online transactions called Paze. Another method for the scammers to attack your funds, that also does away with carrying around real money!

    Parks are perking up

Where I find the most dollar coins is around where the liquor stores are located and. There are nearby parks. They make change with the dollar coins and the clientele flop down and I guess loose them. I am 82 and detect to strengthen my leg and back muscles to get me through the winters.😊

    Parks are perking up

The last two outings netted a little more clad than usual. Found a pile of the golden dollars. A little bling. Will clean it and use it to buy gold nuggets at the prospectors meeting. A few wheaties, zip on silver. Did run into an older friend also detecting. He was 93. Another at 82. Can’t keep...

    Nice silver ring find

Went out yesterday after a local park event on Wed. Found the usual dirty clad cause others I guess beat me to the newly lost loot. Ring is stamped 925, needs shaped and cleaned up but has a nice stone. Thanks for looking.

Who’s using their d2 flat out?

I can run 93-95 most areas except some areas have too much emi. I can usually run the pinpointer at 45.

Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

I keep asking myself the same question about the Legend. I like the Manticore, but I use the D2 more. That’s because I like the sounds better and the weight 'cause I am older. The ergonomics of the D2 is better. The M seems two rigid but the big screen is wonderful. It seems ridiculous the...
