    Vista X Batteries

Richard@BackwoodsDetectors said: I use good AA batteries.. The detector has a voltage regulator that drops the detector to a lower voltage so that the 12vdc is a good surplus.. Let me contact the factory and see what they say about the lithium batteries... too much could damage the...

    Vista X Batteries

Actually, no. I've either had detectors that had internal rechargeable batteries, or like the Sovereign, I just bought Energizer Alkaline AA batteries, or used a new rechargeable battery pack on it. Seems like 9.6V might not produce the same performance as if your batteries produced 12V. I have...

    Vista X Batteries

I know that a lot of you prefer the Enloop NiMH rechargeable batteries, but those only produce 1.2 VDC, at 2550 mAh. Has anyone tried the Li-ion 1.5 VDC batteries, at 3000 mAh? Seems that the higher voltage might produce a little better performance, same as using an alkaline 1.5 V battery. Just...

    Vista X Batteries

That's what I'm thinking. The 8" Concentric, and definitely the Super Six Coil. The 5.7" would be good for very tight places, or a really bad complete bed of iron, trash, and nails. Picture of the Super Six. From what I've heard of it's performance, you might not ever take it off.

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

Yeah the Vista X is an interesting analog detector that uses AA batteries. Of course I would run Lithium ion rechargeables. My only turn off is I can't believe that they put two toggle switches on the bottom, instead of just one well placed one, in the perfect location, like they had on the...

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

Yeah, I have the M8 coil and didn't want to take it off to put the M15 Coil on, but getting ready to go to the beach to give it a good testing, but at the moment, I think that M8 coil is going to be my favorite, spectacular depth, separation, light weight, and I prefer smaller coils anyways. I...

(Want to sell) F/S Tesoro Bandido 2 u-max

Wow, that was quick, nice detector. Perhaps I should have been buying instead of asking questions. Yeah, I found the owners manual on line last night and found the information.. I figured the coil was an 8". If for some reason the sale doesn't go through, please let me know. Hopefully I'm next...

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

Realistically, real separation is only a few inches deep. The farther the targets are from each other the better. As you go deeper you start to get a blend, as the signal goes from two, merging eventually into possibly one. The VDI will be affected by the other target, the reading on the graph...

WM09 for The Manticore, 700/900, and Xterra Pro.

Yeah, those are great as long as you're not at the beach with 10 foot waves crashing next to you. That's when I'm forced to use my Sun Ray Pro's, or Black Widows, and unfortunately, yes, they do get hot in the summertime, but I do love my Sony's.

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

I'm hoping that my experience is at least three times that, if not more. I'm hoping to see separation to at least 9 inches, especially when the Deus II and Manticore can see a nickel at 15 inches. I'm wondering what is the depth that coins and other non-ferrous targets start sounding like iron...

MINELAB Manticore Unmasking And Recovery Performance

I was lucky enough to find and get both the M8, and the M15 for the Manticore. I've been using mainly the M8, yet to use the stock 11", and planning on taking a day and trying the 15 at the beach. I haven't had much time with the Manticore. I've learned all the settings, and read the manual...
