    Another House Site

Got to hunt another old house site in a cornfield today but unfortunately the weeds were so high I could only hunt in a few areas. Planting has been held off because of all the rain, but the weeds are doing quite well. At least the bean stubble will be better this fall to hunt in. Think this...

    Easter Hunt

Had a good day hunting a couple old house sites in a corn field. Was able to run the Ranger up and down the corn rows and flatten them down to cover more ground. The debris field is about 200 yards long and 100 yards wide, these coins came from what I believe to be the front yard. 1851 large...

    Winter hunt

Got to hunt this house site one day last week and for a while this morning. Except for the holes filling with water as i dug them I had a ball. Hope the weather last's a little longer like this with a little less rain. Still struggling with getting the pictures from my phone downsized to the...

    Found Some Oldies

Darrelld and I went back to the yard that I got the silver from last week and got some oldies finally. The large cent and Speil Mark were in the same hole just a few feet from where I got the 1860 Indian. Darrel got a Indian and Merc along with some Wheaties and a cool luggage tag. We'll be...

    Big One

Cant remember when I posted last but its been way to long. Don't think I even hunted last year because of back issues but after successful back surgery in April I'm almost back to normal. DarrellD and I was suppose to hunt this yard last fall but I couldn't get him out of the deer stands...

    Big Silver

First post of the year for me. Just haven't taken the time to get out this year. Hit some new house sites that turned out to be duds earlier in the year and just couldn't get in gear. The farmer I mostly hunt on called to say he would be planting one of the old sites we have beat into oblivion...

    Still Learning

Went out early before things heated up and hit a hillside for a couple hours that skunked me the last couple hunts. I think the CTX hit's harder on deep silver than detectors in the past. Beginning to get an ear for the deep ones.

    Impressed and dissapointed!

Really impressed with the CTX. Went to the hardest hit park that I know of, it's where I found my first Injun in the early 70's with the Whites Coinmaster 2 and in the same spot that it came from I found the 83 Injun today. ( I think I posted the same thing with the Etrac a few years back.) All...

    Big Token, Wheats and Injun

Taking Darrelld to a 150 year old yard tomorrow and thought I'd get a jump start to get some of the junk stuff out of his way. I'm sure he'll get the good stuff.

    FS;Minelab 12X15 SEF Coil

This is the SEF 12X15 search coil for Explorer's and Etrac. Was purchased from Kellyco and includes lower rod. Was used on Etrac and XS for the last 2 years at house sites in crop fields. It is excellent condition and works perfectly. Asking $150.00 and I'll pay insured shipping US only.

    Few Hunts

Learning more each time out with the new machine. Have been use to digging iffy signals with the Etrac and occaisionally coming up with a coin, but not with this machine. All iffy's have tuned out to be rusty nails, and the higher the sens the more iffy's show up. Today I hunted a small park...

    Finally!

Was beginning to think I had bought the most expensive clad and zinc finder on the planet. Hunted with Darrelld for 5 hours yesterday and couldn't find an oldie if my life depended on it. Told Darrell I would give it a week and then send it to the auction block! (It must of listened and decided...

FS: MINELAB ETRAC w/ Probe AND 12X15 SEF Coil

This ETRAC is 3 months old and is in perfect condition. The Sunray Probe was purchased new with the detector and the 12X15 SEF coil was purchased from Kellyco 2 years ago. All items with original package are included. This detector has no damage and the display screen is perfect. Asking $1300.00...

    Small Coil

Took the 6 inch Excellerator to the fairgrounds that I hunt when it gets to hot and dry to hunt the parks. It's so shaded there's hardly any grass and the pickins are slim. I've hunted this spot for many years and have been skunked many times. Hunting with such a small coil is really slow and...

    House Site

Hunted an old house site today that Darrelld and I will be hunting tomorrow. Had to sneak in ahead of him to be sure I found a coin! That kid's tuff! The 64 Injun and eagle button makes me think we should do well. He'll be using the wireless thingamabob watchamacallit so should be able to keep...

    Diggin Nails

Derrelld and I recently talked about how many times we dig an iffy signal and after removing a nail or two the probe still nulls so we fill the dirt back in and move on. Today I went to the park that flooded on a regular basis and found these coins well below or to the side of the nails. Using...

    New Etrac

Got a new Etrac a couple weeks ago and have been getting my ears back in tune with some of the new tricks that Darrelld taught me. These were found at sites that we had pounded into oblivion. Checking the high chirps with pinpoint produced these finds at some great depths amongst nails and...

    More Yards

Hit some yards yesterday with Derrelld and did manage some silver. First site was overgrown with saplings and was very hard to find a spot to swing the coil but managed a barber and a couple rosies. The second yard looked to be the perfect site to hunt, 1840's house, large yard, big trees, not...

    Best yard ever!

Got to hunt a really good yard today that had very little trash. In fact the only trash was 32 rimfire cases and a few shotgun shell bases. Can't remember finding so many old indians at one time. 1822, 1850, 1853 and 1 no date and smashed LC's. 2-1865, 1866, 3-1867, 1879 and 1881 indians and a...
