    Another 3.0 update question

    If you have a mixed signal, a low conductor trash near a coin and go to 4 khz, the detector will see the coin and ignore the low conductor. Try a pull tab and a dime side by side. Multi will see the tab and 4khz will see the coin. I found that interesting when I tried it.

    Does anyone think it matters what mode you are in, if you run a single frequency and all metal?

    Old ring found today at a colonial site.

    There is no markings on the back. Seems to be made of brass or whatever flat buttons are made of. Rang up a 14 on the Equinox.

    NEL tornado coil-F75LTD

    I have one for my LTD. I like the stock coil better. Not much depth difference and hard to ground grab on many farms I hunt. I rehunted some sites and found nothing deeper that I missed. I have tried 2 because of the GB trouble, I sent the first one back and the second one was the same.

    EQUINOX headphone adaptor?

    Any 1/8 to 1/4 adapter should work if you want to use wired headphones.

    Which coil do you prefer?

    The stock 11 inch coil and the Fisher 5dd. I tried 2 Nel coils and had problems Ground ballancing and getting them to run right. I wish Fisher had made a 11 or 12 inch round coil for the F75. Never tried the 15 because of the extreme weight people complained about.

    The 600 is fum to use and waterproof is great. I will master it and I live 90 miles from the beach and will probably keep it for that and if I get any bad ground to hunt.

    So far from testing and learning. My Multi Kruzer with the Anfibio coil is deeper. My F75ltd is close and I will have to do tests on deep targets to see what one wins. Close on them I think. In boost, the F75 probably will. I also have a T2+ that is about the same as the F75. My 600 came new...

    Getting The Right Advice..!

    Deep nails are hard for me to tell from a coin so far. Only had the 600 a little over a week. I am not seeing a depth advantage over my 2 other main machines either. ID is real good on targets not real deep though.

    New to the Equinox and a question.

    Been trying the different modes and settings for a few days. What is field 1 good for? Seems weaker than the park modes and field 2. I have the 600.

    Nokta Makro suggestions and thoughts

    I have the gain cut back and saved in all the tones except 3 tone. The other tones allow you too run the machine too hot to try and squeeze out more depth if you want.

    A lot of farms I hunt have sandy soil and I find many targets at the max depth my machines can go, so I know there are many targets too deep to hit. My Multi Kruzer with the AF28 coil is the deepest machine I have. and I have many. The 9 inch concentric coil I have, lost several inches of depth...

    A v nickel in good shape is much harder to find.
