Wanted: 4" coil for a Tesoro Scout

Thanks Mark. Nice knowledgeable reply. Tesoro has a history of using the same circuit board for numerous detector's. I'm almost certain the Thames machine is a Compadre with a sens pot and extra resistor or cap. And tweaked and turned differently for the application. Looking at a Compadre...

You have my Interest. Having never been across the pond. (And today not sure I'd want to). I had to look up that machine. Never heard of it. It runs and sounds like the Compadre. With a sensitivity pot mod. I have the Compadre and Mojave. Get your hands on both. Do the sens pot mod and coil...

    CTX 3030 compared to Manticore

I use the iron halo Stomp. Depending how deep and hard the ground is will usually break the halo. Or if I really want to know I use my 12" long 1/4" wide screwdriver. Push it into the ground near the target and give a good wiggle left right then forward backwards. Breaks the Halo every time.

Kids dipping into Dad's coin collection.

Had some kids get into my silver years ago. Stole 1500 Mercury, Barber and Rosie dimes. Much of it un circulated in original rolls. Not happy. Would be worth a pretty penny today. 😡

That's what I do and canning. Finishing up another 35lbs of garlic. This time honey garlic fermented. Never gonna do individual quarts again. Toooo messy burping each jar. Gonna do gallons next time with fermentation vent coks. Then after finished. Transfer to smaller jars and seal. Love to go...

A Few Things That Helped Me With the Legend

1-2 second swing Max. I've watched many ignorant people swinging like they were cutting grass with a double edged sickle. Bothered me most swinging two ft off the ground at the end of each swing. Within 20-30' my machine went Nuts.

    Manticore for small gold question...?

That's why I'm trying the NEL Snake 3×6" and the Sharp 5" round on a few of my machines. A Tesoro and Sovereign GT so far. Hopefully on my Legend and Manticore soon. Hopefully I'll be able to get past my back yard next year.
