    Salt and Vinegar mix will really make copper coins look funky. Try it on a penny or dime first. before you do a batch. I use a tumbler, aquarium gravel and a few drops of dish soap.

    Strange Problem or User Error

    Bumping a coil on anything can cause an audio false . Nothing new detectors have been doing it since I started late 1960's. You'll eventually get into the habit of not bumping the ground and avoiding hitting any other objects.

    There's 3 wires coming off a mono coil. Start of the coil wire, end of coil wire and shield wire. Guessing from what I see, if you have a multi meter, see if you have continuity between the red and yellow wire and red and white wire. The ones that do will be the start and end wire.     You won't personally know which is better for "you" and "your" soil conditions, unless you actually try either one for a week. So do a buy and try like many of us. Buying used will generally see most of your money returned, if you decide a detector is not for you and resell it.
