    CZ7 Volume

    I believe the CZ's have a modulated audio. Volume settings 1-5, deeper targets will sound fainter (per my CZ6a manual). I usually run the volume at max and adjust my headphone knobs. This is to insure a large surface target doesn't blast my ears off.

    Very good machine in iron and on small targets. Audio is great. If possible, get the Super Six coil to use in very trashy sites.

    Analog vs Screen Machines

    You are so right about that. I had one but sold it...wish I didn't. I can still remember that Musky sound of silver. It even worked well on the salt water beaches I hunted for being a single freq unit. Cool machine.
