    New video

I liked the bit about how it'll be compatible with the Go Terrain app, which will be "released very soon." J'espère que vous dites la vérité cette fois, XP! (I hope you're telling the truth this time, XP!)

    Tips for avoiding tiny foil?

Lately I've been using a variation of the "High Performance" program from Andy Sabisch's book: Freq 11 (or 14 with the HF 9.5" coil) Iron vol 2 Reactivity 2 Audio resp 4 Notch 00-00 Disc 0 Sens 92 Silencer 1 Audio Overload 1 Full tones

What test or feature would you like me to video on the Deus 2 first?

Head-to-head comparison with the original Deus, specifically to see whether SMF is any better

    Tips for avoiding tiny foil?

One thing I still struggle with periodically is differentiating between tiny pieces of aluminum foil and deeper conductive targets. Anyone have tips for telling the difference between the two? The Deus is good at picking though iron, but non-ferrous junk is harder to deal with.

Someone stole my Deus remote and WS5 headphones.

Sorry to hear that Calabash, hope you're able to get them back

    The Legend is here!

Nobody's saying the Nox can't make impressive finds. But there definitely are some users who claim it's better than any other detector on the market, which is a bold (and wrong) claim. Nokta knows this, which is why their presentation today opened with a video featuring one such fan boy. Good...

    The Legend is here!

Just got a dealer email offering preorders for $635. That's less than I was expecting!

    The Legend is here!

Minelab does have the first-mover advantage on the SMF front, so I'm sure people will still buy Noxes. However, there's reason to believe that the Legend will be an improvement on some of the Nox's weak points (housing leaking underwater, weight/balance, price). And don't forget, the Simplex...

    The Legend is here!

Wow, that would be really fantastic if true.

    The Legend is here!

Who else is watching the live stream? Already it's clear that Nokta's positioning this new machine very differently from Deus II. They haven't mentioned a price but the intro video suggested it would be competitive with the Nox. I also had to chuckle at the not-so-subtle shots they've taken so...

    Keeping my XP Deus

@Waterdog How deep are we talking? And I'd also be curious to know which program/setting you were using.

    Problems with Deus II

I want to see this test: Deus II in MF mode v. Deus I, showing me whether there are targets that Deus II can hit that Deus I can't. It would be an interesting assessment of this new detector, but also the value of MF in general. People already say their Deus can out hunt a Nox, so curious how...

    Problems with Deus II

A big question for me is: Exactly how does the software and audio differ from the current Deus? That's why I'm happy to wait for reviews and tests with the first batch of machines before buying one myself. Don't get me wrong, MF and waterproof to 20 meters are both great. But beyond that, it's...

    Advantage of extra coils

You do you mean as opposed to the 11 inch LF? I've used the 9 inch LF and 9x5 HF. The 9 inch is great for separation in trashier areas and coin shooting. The 9x5 is VERY sensitive, even on the lowest frequency. Every little piece of foil will sound great, so it's really best for low-trash...

XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

Yup, I'm kinda surprised they didn't provide more info about those, including the two different audio options. All I've heard is waterproof, waterproof, multi-frequency, waterproof.

DEUS II eXPlore like never before

I just saw one place is taking pre-orders for $1600. At that price, I'll wait!

New XP Deus II.....Release Date or Pre-Orders?

I see one supplier taking pre-orders now for $1600. Unclear when that will ship, etc.

XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

My initial read is that this is a big deal for anyone who dives or searches in more than shallow water. I don't, so assuming the price is $1200+, I'm inclined to sit on the sidelines until some independent reviews/tests come out. It also looks like backphones are the only headphone option to...

What I hope is on the new Deus... Lower iron volume setting. Whats your hope for the new machine?

That's a fair point. I very rarely use the pinpoint button as I find it faster and easier to X targets in whatever mode I'm searching in.

XP confirms: Deus II will be waterproof to 20 meters, have simultaneous MF

https://www.xpmetaldetectors.com/en/gamme/deus-ii-detectors.php What we know: SMF to compete with the Nox Waterproof to 20 meters, all wireless (including headphones) "PWM" and "Square" audio options (not really sure what the difference is?) No word yet on price/MSRP
