    I thought i knew everything about my ORX i could know , well then i watched a video by TNsharpshooter, and he was messing with the target recovery speed ,and lowering the disc,and to my amazement he unmasked a target next to a nail , So I had been hunting the old farm house using slow recovery...

    A round shaft creates turbulence and drag when swinging thru water , this tires out the detectorist, but the answer swims buy him in the water , coils with openings and 90 degree angles create more turbulence under water this creates more resistance . so shy not make the shaft like a sharks tail...

    whats you r soil like ? is it mineralized? the 9x5 is a killer on gold in that 1st 4 inches, I was thinking of getting that one for my ORX just for sidlines and pickeck tables & tot lots, if its depth the round one will do a bit better

    I want to give credit to TNsharpshooter. for revealing this to me , He has made some videos on the masking of coins, or as he says cones, so I got my Orx and began to mess with the setting and this is what i came up with 65 gain works best because it mellows out the iron and still gets good...

    today i wanted to test the ORXin 4khz to look for coins, I had coin fast, 85 gain, 2.5 recovery speed, and disc set at 5.5, and it really het hard on the high conductors, I even found a 1925 wheat cent about 6" down and making a banging signal

    Took it out for a real dig , and i was pleasantly supersized plenty of depth in 2 strength . easy to hear , my Mi 4 was hard to hear , not the Garrett, when i turned it on it turned on when i turned it off it went off. I cant tell you how frustrating the Mi 4 was somtimes when turning it on it...

    Got the replacement pinpoiter form Garrett, and this time it worked even in mode 2 it hits a dime about 2 Inches and about a full 3 in the high mode very pleased , and exelent costomer service from Garrett

    Sunday in the park! Thought it was the 7th of August.

    tested my ORX today on a dime and several gold ring, at 4 khz the dime was a solid 8 inches deep and the gold rings 7" if i turned it up to 17.2khz the gold rings 8.5" and the dime 6.5" inches not to mention i think 4khz gets thru the ground deeper , I think

    Wow it took 4khz to crack the ground , as they say lower khz is better on silver I know thats true and better at getting in the ground if it works keep using it .if the emi is mild
