Steve's Carbon-Fiber Detector Shafts -- for Minelab, Garrett, and More...

KSDfisher77 -- MY APOLOGIES for not seeing your final question here, at a much earlier date! I somehow missed it... The clamps I use on my 700/900 lowers, are the same proprietary heavy-duty clamp-type cam locks that I use with all of my other shafts -- they are removable (via 3mm Allen...

    15" minelab or coiltek?

There is no U13 for the Equinox to the best of my knowledge, though I may be mistaken. But I absolutely loved that coil, with my Explorer (so I know why Odanscoils would have suggested it). My opinion is -- get the Minelab coil. At 836g, vs. the MInelab 15" at 660g, the Coiltek 15" is 176g/6...

    Ace 250 shaft

tvr -- Thanks for the kind words! MeGmg -- Yes, I do make a two-piece lower shaft assembly for the Ace 250; it attaches directly to the Garrett upper "S-shaft" section, and replaces the Garrett middle and lower sections. If interested, please contact me at steve@stevesdetectorrods.com, and...

Garrett AT Pro, with two coils (5x8, and 8.5x11)...

Hey all! I have a very nice Garrett AT Pro, available for sale. I bought it a few years ago from a good friend who used it lightly; I needed an AT Pro on hand, while I was designing the carbon-fiber Garrett shafts I now sell, and that's how I came to own it. It has sat in my closet ever since...

Steve's Carbon-Fiber Detector Shafts -- for Minelab, Garrett, and More...

KSD -- sounds good, thank you! Yes, my locks are a bit more "stout" than those used by Minelab, though Minelab's are reasonably good, as well -- at least the ones on my Manticore. Thank you! Steve

Steve's Carbon-Fiber Detector Shafts -- for Minelab, Garrett, and More...

Jimmy, I am sorry you are disappointed with the price for the lower rod. But, not sure what you meant by the comment about the coil...$69 sure won't buy you a Minelab coil... Steve
